Hi, im just wondering is there is current research done on electronic cigarettes and the health effects that can be caused by them?

Any past research that suggests any harmful effects?

Nope. You need to research it like most of us did when we started
this. Read the New Zealand study to start with. There have been studies back to the 40s on the effects of PG on higher organisms.

Although the FDA would love it, there are no studies showing this can harm us. Only studies showing it bass ackwards.

They are considering putting PG in the ventilation systems of public schools to cut viruses.

I was a chemist in a former life. I have researched it ad nauseum. I do quantitative analysis on every new order I receive to check for nic content. I am totally cool with this....I know that is a mouthful but I am very comfortable here........Relax............although that is just my opinion..lol..:)

thanks jerr il check it out. u got any other info u want to share?

and ROSA..its all good, i understand you trying to look out for young people with your your experience. but im not a kid first of all, just of youthful age, and dont think that i like the idea of smoking either, but i do it once in a while on a special occasion when in good, or "bad" company. I just wanted to know the effects of vaping... by the way i tried my kit and i answered my own question. it had no effect on me like cigarettes do. And i got a sore under my tongue after using it and my throat feels tingly after using it, so vaping only gives me negative effects without any desirable effects like i get from real cigarettes so i dont know if ill be vaping much longer.

This is why i was wondering if theres any research of harm done by e-cigs, seeing that i developed a sore in my tongue and i had a burning sensation in my mouth, like inhaling plastic or something(assuming that sensation).. and yes i checked that its atomizing properly.

Also: you know some people are allergic to the PG that's in the juice.(I have heard of hives, sores, sore throat, burning sensation) and switching to juices made with VG will make that go away. On rare occasion people are allergic to the VG, but I haven't heard of anyone being allergic to both.

20 years from now, when you are a full-on addict go for the VG juices; sounds like you might have an allergy going on..

... and i feel sorry for your kids and wife if u have them, if you are the same way with them....

That was out of line.

Since you say that it gave you a "burning sensation in [your] mouth, like inhaling plastic or something," your cart and/or atty might have been dry. To avoid getting liquid in your mouth, you draw on it softly, not as hard as you would to take a drag off a cigarette. You will have to experiment with it to figure out exactly how. But any time you start drawing too hard, you're likely to get liquid in your mouth. Any time it tastes "burning," you need more liquid. If you run your atty dry, you need to top off your cart AND add a couple of drops to the atty directly.
