I will be sending Russ a mod on monday with the new 510 connection for his video lab . I have already showed pictures of the new 510 connection on the forum
I will always make grands a mini mods with deep juice wells . There are people that like them .
Please will someone explain to me if the new resin mods are stronger than the woods...which i adore but i've damaged a bit due to clumsiness. I'm pretty sure they won't be as fool-proof as the metal ones, nor as fragile( in my hands
) as my beloved woods, but now Rob's put me in a conundrum...do I get another wood...which is dangerous in my hands..or do i try for a resin mod?

I would expect a resin mod to hold up very well against the bumps and bruises of daily life better than the wood even though many a wood mod has been dropped and or knocked over without issue.

Hey Kay, I haven't seen one yet nor am I an expert but acrylic resins go into stabilized wood process and they are pretty tough so I'd think so.....but when am I ever right.
They ought to be less brittle; my work makes some urethane parts and it's as tough as old boots, abrasion resistant, fairly chemically inert and it'll bounce.
So, as far as i can see, a mod that will take a good beating and not get damaged much.

If they are anything like resin drip tips - Im sold based on the ability to survive my punishment..
Example:
I dropped my Reo in the driveway - the resin drip tip went a_flyin - later I found it wedged in my tire tread...fully intact only a very slight chaffing

Now.....if I could only get a Reoresinator ( I like that name, whoever came up with it) that looks like a purple wood....
