He said he will be retrofitting the stock on hand next week so I guess maybe you'll be able to see this new 510 connector prior to the Woodvil & Resin sale.
I will be sending Russ a mod on monday with the new 510 connection for his video lab . I have already showed pictures of the new 510 connection on the forum

The resin or urethane mods will all be LP and have mechanical switches . They are exactly like the new woodvil in every way - the wood .
I dont see me ever putting a store bought switch in a mod again

Please will someone explain to me if the new resin mods are stronger than the woods...which i adore but i've damaged a bit due to clumsiness. I'm pretty sure they won't be as fool-proof as the metal ones, nor as fragile( in my hands:facepalm:) as my beloved woods, but now Rob's put me in a conundrum...do I get another wood...which is dangerous in my hands..or do i try for a resin mod?

I would expect a resin mod to hold up very well against the bumps and bruises of daily life better than the wood even though many a wood mod has been dropped and or knocked over without issue.

Hey Kay, I haven't seen one yet nor am I an expert but acrylic resins go into stabilized wood process and they are pretty tough so I'd think so.....but when am I ever right.

I plan to jump on another wood run soon after this run is done yes there will be 18490s . I got rid of vv mods I am back to building wood mods again .
I am also working on building some mods made of urethane casting resins they will look just like a woodvil but of course they wont be effected buy e juice or moisture

that convo starts here

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...anical-woodvil-prototype-17.html#post14799758

and answers a few basic q's

and for others that missed it

Some have asked about the price of these mods I cant put a number on it yet . I can already see they will be less then wood mods . I need to build a bunch of them before I put a price on anything .

They ought to be less brittle; my work makes some urethane parts and it's as tough as old boots, abrasion resistant, fairly chemically inert and it'll bounce.

So, as far as i can see, a mod that will take a good beating and not get damaged much.

T

So, like the Timex of mods then "takes a scraping and keeps on vaping"

What a great idea, resin with watch wheels/dial/hands encapsulated !
'course, it would have to have been a mechanical watch...
