Rob do you think you could make some resins that are similar in color to your Kawasaki green grands? My color choice for a resin would be flat black mod with a slightly translucent "slimer" green door. Or maybe completely Slimer green.

So I've pretty much decided that though I'd love to have a woodvil, I'm gonna pass on the next sale and wait for an awesome resin mod instead. I just don't think I can handle the upkeep from a woodvil. I live in South Georgia and the weather and humidity would kill the wood, the constant upkeep would be horrendous for me, and I'd rather enjoy a mod like the resin that I won't have to worry about much like my LP grand. I'll probably be picking up another grand as well in the future.

I don't about the weather & humidity in your state but the up keep of a Woodvil in general isn't much which is why I only have them. Actually REOs as a rule are "plug & play". I think the metal REOs take a bit more maintenance. In any case your decision to get a resin REO is a good one. :)

I'm speaking in terms of rapid temperature change and high humidity. It's ridiculous where I'm at, I'd be concerned with the expanding and contracting of the wood. Plus I'm sure if I were to get a woodie it would eventually be dropped and I wouldn't want to worry about cracking or chipping wood. I spill juice from getting to over zealous and sqounking to hard, the next thing I know juice is pouring out the air holes and I have to wipe it up.

You are right about the maintenance with the grands, but I can completely handle that. I'll pop the bottle and battery out, remove the atty and give the grand a quick warm bath. Fire up the air compressor and blow dry it off and reassemble. That all literally takes about 10 mins of my time. Then I'll apply some noalox, build some coils and I'm back in business for another two weeks or so.

I think I'll just feel more at suit with a resin, and I really wouldn't have to worry about half the other things I mentioned above. If I drop it, I'll buff out the damage, if I spill juice doesn't matter, I'll just wipe it up. Certainly wouldn't have to apply wax or wood conditioner to the wood to keep it protected. The resins are just more appealing to me at the moment. It's funny too cause I was so set on trying to score a woodvil, then Rob drops the bomb on new resins. I could get a color I really want (flat black w/slimer green door) it looks like a woodvil, but performs like a grand. Did Rob ever say if they were gonna be top fires like grands or side fires like woods?

I thought I read some where he was unsure what he wanted to do with the fire buttons.

Rob said exactly like the newest woodvil, with the exception of the wood. Side fire, no catch cup. There are pics of the new Woodvil earlier in the thread. Nicer looking button too.

Hello all. I have been lurking around this forum off and on for a while. Love Super X's vids, and he is a convincing advocate of the REO's advantages. While I am currently quite happily vaping with a regulated mod + a Lemo , I think my next vape will be a REO.

I gather that the advantages/ differences in the anticipated Resin Reo mod is largely aesthetics? Side fire button and then just color options etc? Am I missing other differences?

Trying to decide if it would be to my benefit to wait on a Resin Reo offering. Otherwise my preference will be a SL LP Reo Grand . I like lightweight as possible and ease of cleaning.

Is resin comparable in weight to aluminum ? Can anyone guess if the resin mod will weigh more than a SL Reo Grand? Sorry if these are noob questions or if they've been addressed.
@redeyedancer Since you are using a prototype are you able to give us a weight comparison between a reson and grand?

Exactly like that

According to Rob it will be this without the wood. I'm pretty sure he said in would be this type button too.
