I'm speaking in terms of rapid temperature change and high humidity. It's ridiculous where I'm at, I'd be concerned with the expanding and contracting of the wood. Plus I'm sure if I were to get a woodie it would eventually be dropped and I wouldn't want to worry about cracking or chipping wood. I spill juice from getting to over zealous and sqounking to hard, the next thing I know juice is pouring out the air holes and I have to wipe it up.

You are right about the maintenance with the grands, but I can completely handle that. I'll pop the bottle and battery out, remove the atty and give the grand a quick warm bath. Fire up the air compressor and blow dry it off and reassemble. That all literally takes about 10 mins of my time. Then I'll apply some noalox, build some coils and I'm back in business for another two weeks or so.

I think I'll just feel more at suit with a resin, and I really wouldn't have to worry about half the other things I mentioned above. If I drop it, I'll buff out the damage, if I spill juice doesn't matter, I'll just wipe it up. Certainly wouldn't have to apply wax or wood conditioner to the wood to keep it protected. The resins are just more appealing to me at the moment. It's funny too cause I was so set on trying to score a woodvil, then Rob drops the bomb on new resins. I could get a color I really want (flat black w/slimer green door) it looks like a woodvil, but performs like a grand. Did Rob ever say if they were gonna be top fires like grands or side fires like woods?

I understand. :) Maybe in the future Rob will kick it up another level and offer both wood and resin all in one. as Rob cringes and shakes his head.

A place some call paradise
I have said it before I wont begin making these until the wood run is done . I still have some testing to do on these mods

That's great. That way everyone burns up duckets during the wood run and makes it easier for me to snag a resin :)

The future is bleak...

not sure, but rob said the resin is ok with liquid. i think it was ian444 that said they should, depending on the wires. but i didn't see rob reply if he did

Yeah, I was wondering about it because of the wires. I've been using REOs for 3 years and can still be an energetic squonker at times.
