I'm somewhat new to the world of VV mods, so please forgive my question if it is silly, but it is just that I need to fill in this gap of understanding.

In my VAMO v5, I have two Protanks, with which I have tried 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, and 2.6 Ohm coils. When using any of these, I always reference a vaping chart to determine what voltage I should be using and do so as it suggests.

For the most part, I really can't tell the difference, with exception of the 2.6 Ohm coil, that appears to produce more vapor :vapor:than the lower resistance coils that I have. I am not sure if it is just a matter of this coil being better at wicking for reasons outside of its ohm resistance or if this is indeed a distinguishing factor among resistances of coils.

Could someone please enlighten me on what the conventional wisdom regarding coil resistances?

Thanks in advance...

Lower resistance is going to draw more amperage from your battery. This is going to give a warmer vape with more vapor production. With coils above 1.5 ohms I can't tell a huge difference either, the difference begins to occur (for me) around 1 ohm, below that is hot vapor huge clouds and muted flavor. But with using the prebuilt coils in you VV device you probably wont see much difference. The coils for the protank occasionally don't come out as the resistance on the label but sometimes they're spot on. They also make 1.5 ohm coils, which is what used before I started in on the crazy world or RBA's,

Hope this helps

Now if you change the Vamo to VW mode you will find it really doesn't matter much with the range you just listed. I tend to start at about 8 to 10 watts for those ranges and find they will give a consistent vape regardless of the ohms of the atty. Now get below 1.5 and things begin to change a bit.
