I found that you don't need to cut, slot punch the hole any bigger. Just use a drill bit slightly larger than the hole itself and bevel the edge not drilling all the way through. This seems to break any surface tension and allows even 100 VG to flow. No worries of ruining the carto.

Very good idea

Pbusardo has a review on the smoketec tank (sorry no link, net is acting up today...) but he goes into detail on how small the hole is. I think he puts up a photo comparison of the pre-punched hole compared to his self-slotted boge cartos. The ressurectors seem to wick a bit better in general (maybe they aren't packed as tight?), so I could see the fix posted by doorknob up-thread working. Ultimately, the size of the hole on the pre-punched resurrectors has been pretty much their only perceived flaw that I've come across.

Just an update...I think everyone who is a moderate to advanced user should have a multimeter (you can get a good one for $15 - $20). I just got some ressurectors, and low and behold the first one I pulled out measured 8ohm. I would have wasted almost 2ml of juice in this thing!! Pulled out another one, measured 1.9 ohm. Ahhh, that's more like it!!
Trust me, I double and triple checked both of them.

It just takes a second to double check the resistance (if there is any...the coil might even be broken!!).

that's all!

probably good practice with any carto before you fill it
