hello all,

I've been reading this forum for days now, and really enjoy everybody's posts/comments and suggestions. I'll be brief: I have been smoking analogs for 26 years! Geez that's a long time. I've tried several times to quit (patches, gum, wellbutrin, you name it). Was never completely successful. I started vaping socially a few years back, enjoyed it, but never got "fully into it". Yes, I had a shoebox full of DIY juices, etc) Just this past week, I have started a new try at this vaping thing. For over a year, we haven't smoked analogs in our New car, and we have Never smoked analogs in the house. Hubby is a 2 PAD, I'm about 10-15 a day. But we still smoked. So, since I have restarted vaping, (serious vaping), I have cut my analogs to about 4 a day. Hubby has no interest, tried a PV a few years ago, liked it, but refuses to re-start, even when there are so many new models out there. Anyways.................I already feel better, and am looking forward to this journey. Even though I haven't quit the analogs completely, I have already had one of the "smoke dreams", where you see yourself holding a pack, or getting ready to light one up, and you wake up convinced that you really smoked! scary! Look forward to hearing from everybody!

Kinda makes you wonder what the heck has big tobacco been putting in that stuff to make you dream of it!

Thanks for the replies everyone!

@Susan~S I'm using an Ego something or other, and I have larger type, again another EgoOne. I prefer these pen style ones, I see a lot of people have square boxes (battery holder?) and it kind of looks overwhelming. But mine is working, vaping 18mg of Hazelnut right now.

@edyle yeah no kidding, but I've heard that's normal, especially when detoxing off alcohol, drugs.

@opticruby thanks! Yeah I was surprised about the dream, especially since I have only been doing this for a few days now.

Hi and Welcome!

I just started back seriously vaping. I started vaping back 2011 or so. They were really more toys than anything serious. I stopped again in 2013, after the ego-c. Which I found more disappointing than not. Mine leaked and I got tired of it.

Current day. I've smoked analogs 40+ years, 3 pad's a day currently. I'm now down to 10 or less a day. That's simply because I haven't found quite the right juice and flavor yet, I'm working on it :)
I used to use Joyetech exclusively. I broke with tradition this time and got an Innokin Disruptor, which I love!, after seeing a review of it. Plus my favorite online store was temporarily out of stock of all the IT's I found appealing. I'm so happy it worked out that way too.
I admit the disruptor was also my first lesson in sub-ohm vaping, lol. Sub-ohming is something a person should break into, not start out with, hahaha. So I got another tank with above ohm coils and it's all working out beautifully.
PV's have arrived these days, as far as I'm concerned. Even the cheap regulated one's give me as much or more than I can ask for. Vaping has just become a fascinating new world to me. It's changed so much I actually consider myself a new vapor.

Right now my current device's are the Innokin Disruptor and the JT eVic-Vtc mini. Which I'm really falling in love with. It has many features of the higher priced mods. Does em all, Kanthal, Nickel and Titanium.
Way back when I used to drip with the JT 510 atomizer. I loved it except you could only put on a few drops at a time. It was a total tease.

Dripping is one of my loves and where I'm going. So I'm getting into coil building. Both my mods are capable of running tanks and Rda's The Disruptor has a built-in battery, which I love, and the mini uses a 18650, which I'm also happy with. I'm going to be getting into devices that use batteries and this is giving me experience in using and charging them, and how they act.

I'm also getting into diy liquids. I just love everything about vaping now!

Welcome, lot of good info here. Also you will find that no one judges here. We are all here for one cause and that cause is to get you and whoever on the right track. I know about the smoke dreams. I still have them. If you like the analog flavor look online for NET juices. They can really match cigarette flavors or even pipe tobacco flavors.

Welcome to ECF and welcome back to vaping! A lot has been going on around here. . . but here's some light reading to get you familiar with the world outside of the ego. . . or the "square boxes" :D

Box mods can be intimidating at first when you're only used to an ego, but there are a bunch of good models out there for the beginner.

I got an istick after my ego died and I love it. It's simple to use, but the battery life is good for a few days v. a few hours on the ego.

Good luck!
