what on earth is a dual head single coil?

anyway: if your brother is vaping an evod on that v2 ex battery, it might be that it's not made for the resistance the kanger heads need.
If he is using a evod battery: did he try to switch the coil and wipe of residue on the battery pin?

dual head single coil is how the mini protank set of unknown provenance described itself on the packaging.

It's the same coil as the EVOD takes. He was using the EVOD and an eGo CE-5+ 650 batteries. And no, I don't think he did any cleaning on the battery pin.

"dual head single coil" is an elaborate marketing joke the tank can only have 1 head (1 atomizer) so "dual head" makes no sense at all. but to follow up on the problem at hand: I'd try to clean the pin and then check again. sounds like a problem with connection between coil and battery

I did clean the contacts on both his batteries before using them with my tanks and they work fine.

I'll make him clean his tank contacts when he gets home from work. Also, I suspect he's been overtightening.
