Hi all,

More and more of my batteries are ending up dead.
well not quite dead, the leds do light up, and they seem to recharge fine there is just no smoke.

I have tried cleaning the contacts, this sometimes brings them back to life for a short while.

I would appreciate any advice on how to clean (what do you use?) and resurrect batteries (510s by the way).

cheers

one supplier gave me some great advice about recharging 510 batts, I didn't understand the technical mumbo jumbo, but basically he was saying something like the charger remembers how long it takes to recharge a battery, so if you don't drain your batts all the way and then don't "reset" the charger, it will only partially charge them.? Anyway he said do it like this:

*don't recharge your batts to "freshen" them up, ONLY charge them when they are completely and totally dry.
*UNPLUG the charger for about 5-10 seconds between uses: take out full batt, unplug, wait, re-plug, put in empty batt.

Well, I did that yesterday and vaped away on the same 510 from maybe 10am or 11am to 9pm last night! It was like a miracle!

You may want to try this: Take the batts in question and roll up in a ziplock bag removing all the air. Place the freezer for at least 24 hr then remove remove and allow to warm before recharging. This is suppose to condense the batt media to allow for a better recharge. It seems to work to some extent but no miracles here.
