"THE ONE"

36ga kanthal 7/6 wrap tight coil
1.6 ohms
sterile gauze pad boiled and rolled
basketball airpin

its better than I expected

I took an air pin for a basketball and spread the vivi nova head legs open
wrapped the coil around the air pin, coiled it as tight together as possible
torched it so the coils would stay in place
threaded the coil with rolled gauze, cut of excess making a stubby wick

warm vape, uber heavy vapor, great flavor,
no dry wick after 20 consecutive vapes trying to season coil, slight drop in flavor
its now the one
when it fully seasons it will be unbeatable

hands down the vivi blows all my other rba's out the water for simplicity of wicking

now have to try a bottom feeder rba

:vapor:

Not sure why you would want to use a air pin for balls and such to wind a big coil. Maybe cause the gauze pad is so big?

Anyways if you want a better vape in a vivi use 32g kanthal 6/7 wraps for 2.6-2.8 ohms and get yourself some 100% cotton butchers twine. It holds up far better than cotton balls, yarn, gauze pads, or cotton rounds. Plus its easy to braid, if you know braiding techniques. Either way the twist it has in it will help to keep it together.

When using cotton butchers twine you can actually get different wick thicknesses by adding or removing a strand or two, or three. The butchers twine I have consists of twelve twisted strands. I use six strands and its equivalent to 2.5-3mm silica in thickness. Perfect for vivis.

This will also give you remarkable flavor and massive vapor. Let it soak for at least 30 mins before vaping. Cottons cant be dry burned as you likely know.

I have also used butchers twine in my aga-t+ in a u wick config very successfully.

Thanks for the heads up on butchers twine that stuff is great.

Im cheating a bit with a 7/6 coil the 3 coils in middle touch each other they are tighter than a female flea's;;; well yeah it lowers resistance to the middle of the coil making an inward to outward firing coil it looks sweet when the juice boils from center to sides. No popping at all, yeah the wick is huge I pinch threaded it really well.. it is not as "airy" as butchers twine. Thats the missing link.. Its good but not perfecto; my cobra did is perfecto with same exact coil firing through ss and silica..
its a 2/3/2 coil lol given the juices conductivity..

^Yeah its a lot of room to play with higher ohm'd wire

oxidize pre-binding coils where you want to lower R , meter.

a triple coil in a single, hits like a freight train
did not think I could handle so much vapor
but its so smooth its awesome
I never hit the auto shutoff now
tongue is not stinging like before

I wish I could show ya but I cannot dry burn the vivi with gauze
but you can easily see the boiling

I can give a whole room a vaping taste with the cobra
the vivi its second hand vape lol
