Returning to the world of vaping

Hey Guys! I have decided to once again give vaping a try and hopefully make it replace cigarettes for good. I had started with a tornado t e-cig from totally wicked and their customer service was awesome so I decided to go with them again and bought the odyssey which is coming in the mail. I didn't like the system of little plastic tanks that came with the tornado t because they would frequently leak and I found I was constantly refilling as well. I ended up going back to cigarettes because It was acting up and becoming a hassle.

So fast forward a year and a half and I decided to purchase the odyssey. When it comes to e cigs I am a complete noob and obviously it is somewhat hard to get a hands on trial with all of these different companies and mods. Turns out my friend from college has an odyssey and let me try it, I loved it right from the start. The main thing I'm worried about is the fact that it uses cartomizers by default and I am used to using atomizers since I came from the tornado T. I was wondering if any of you guys have feedback on using cartomizers or the odyssey in general. I hear that cartomizers can tend to burn out quickly sometimes. Also if anyone knew whether or not I can use atomizers with the odyssey and use the drip method if I choose to?

A lot of people love cartomizers, and the only thing to worry about is making sure they're primed. They do make tanks for atomizers, but I'm pretty sure they're not interchangeable with carto tanks.

Oh so I would have to buy a tank for an atomizer, gotcha. Thanks for the info, do you have any personal experience with cartomizers to give an estimate on about how long one lasts? I'm trying to figure out how many I should buy ahead of time.

Not familiar with that setup but welcome back to vaping! Personally I couldn't get a carto to work well for me so prefer clearos or rdas ATM. Some people swear by cartos and if you know how to prime them properly they are very easy to use. If your setup is 510 threaded you can use anything I have used and allot more.

It usually depends on how much you vape. I have a mix of so I'm not using cartos exclusively. A 5-pack lasts me like 6 months. I think if you were using it heavily and taking care to prime properly, a single carto should last anywhere from 1-4 weeks. YMMV

Cartos from my limited experience with them are restricted to one flavor or a couple flavors if they would compliment each other. As for a tank type besides a carto if your device is ego/510 threaded vision vivi nova minis or kanger evods are quite good on the smaller batteries and reasonably cheap.

Man is there an overwhelming amount of different acessories and mods. I'm gonna see how the cartomizer/tank system treats me.

I believe on the Odyssey you can use any 510 cartomizer tank and at least one reviewer said using a single coil carto improved battery life without sacrificing performance. Also I believe you can remove the carto tank and the plinth and then use any Ego threaded device directly on the unit, like EVODs and I Clear 16s.

Atomizers provide the best flavor and overall vaping experience. But they are high maintenance and not as travel out and about friendly.

Tank cartomizers are almost hassle free, will last for 7 - 14 days before needing replaced, are inexpensive and have a full draw like an atomizer. And if you use a 5ml tank like many of us, you can go 10+ hours without needing to refill it.

Clearomizers have a high hassle factor, are inconsistent and have a very airy draw. Some people like that, however.

I would check out a rugged glass tank with a 3-hole punched cartomizer.
