Evening everyone,

Just 2 questions on prefilled vg cartos. Ive read some forums where folks say that the vg is thicker and would burn out the cartos atty faster than pg. Also, they talked about thinning out the vg prefilled cartos with distilled h2o. Nobody said how, since I wasnt a member I couldnt ask a question. So do ya add a couple of drops of distilled water to your prefilled carto first, or do ya take a few vaps then refill it?

Second question is when you diy your own vg cartos with distilled h2o, do ya add half and half of each, or more of the vg and say 5 drops of distilled h2o?

Ok those are my two stupid questions for the night.:?: Thanks.

I haven't heard of VG burning out cartos quicker than PG even though it is thicker. I vape either 50/50 or 60PG/40VG mixes and I haven't had any problems. I guess you could add some distilled water to a carto, but adding it will dilute the nicotine level and the flavor. You'll want to keep that in mind if you decide to do that.

If you're interested in DIY it would be a good idea to read up on it in the DIY sub-forum under the Tips and Tricks Section. There are also some good videos and guides at One Stop DIY Shop.

I've never heard that VG burns out cartos faster....I use 100%VG in cartos all the time and they work fine. If you were going to dilute your VG with distilled water for the refills, do it in a bottle first, then fill the carto (versus trying to add the two separately.) I've heard that those who do dilute their VG add about 15% water at the most. I think 50/50 water and VG would be way too much water. Have you had any trouble with VG pre-filled cartos not vaping well or anything? I don't have any trouble with 100% VG at all....and I love it. LOTS of vapor.....

I've been vaping 50/50 or greater % VG in the same R5 XL Clearo, (R5 XL Clear Cartomizer), for more than three weeks. Filling it with a syringe three times a day. I previously used C-E2 R4 XL Cartos, (metal), using the same juice. Ever since I've been using them I've only had one XL Carto of any kind burn out. JMHO

I've read elsewhere that some people have problems with THICK VG getting hung up in the stuffing and not wicking well to the carto's atty. I would imagine prefilled VG carto makers probably dealt with the flow issues before putting the VG in the carto. But I have bought some bottle VG juices that are so thick I would be surprised if they would work well unmodified in a carto - don't even wick well in my cart.
