After a small thing with another company, I ordered from LiquidXpress for 510 cartos.
My best friend ordered the Honey Flue Cured Tobacco, and I ordered the Taboo. Both were 26mg.
I am using an eGo/Tornado 510.
As I promised Rob, my review:
Honey Flue Cured Tobacco Cartomizer:
After the initial snap, crackle, pop sounds (and me wondering if that was normal) it settled into a thick vapor and surrounded my tongue with flavor. Intense and smooth at the same time. If I took a long enough drag from the e-cig (8-10 secs) a jolt of sweet painted my mouth for a brief moment. The tobacco flavor is just how a traditional would *smell*. A very, very true to smell flavor as well. I personally did not care for the flavor. Throat hit was intense at first. A little too intense. However, it levelled out after the 'break in' period. I consider myself a heavy vapor at about 4mls a day. I vaped on this carto until it was -dead- empty. The flavor stayed consistant through the whole thing. Approximately 6 hours of vaping nearly non-stop. Why non-stop? Personal note more than review: It triggered a memory sensor for myself, my grandfather smelled of tobacco leaves and mint. This was that smell sans mint. So, I kept that childhood memory with me all day. As I said, I didn't much care for the flavor for my personal preference but, well worth it if you are going for ease of use (took two seconds to assemble it to the battery), length of vape, consistant flavor.
Taboo Cartomizer:
I was a little more at ease with this one because I thought I knew what to expect. An RY4 like experience. This tastes amazing, but I personally wouldn't label it RY4 like. Not in the cartomizer. It was more of a not-overly-sweet kettle corn with hints of vanilla.
Bathing your tongue in a soft buttery popcorn flavor with thick vapor that again, stayed consistant for 6+ hours of my normal vaping. On inhale, a smooth feel just coating each of your taste buds. No salt, just a soft, warm, and popcorn taste. On exhale, a savory sweet (but not koolaid sweet) soft vanilla tone. Somewhere, underneath all of that on exhale and inhale, there is a fine layer of soft tobacco bite/spice. Throat hit wasn't harsh at all to me. I didn't wind up on the floor. This is something I could simply sit back and enjoy. And have been, and will do again.
The customer service was excellent. Top notch!
The cartomizer is a breeze to use.
I have not ordered the Taboo flavoring from LiquidXpress but I do plan to for a comparison.
Why are my tastebuds qualified for reviews?
I have been a candy maker since the birth of my children. 11 years of "Mommy, I want lollis that taste like lime jello mixed with pineapple and creamy too,"; various other forms and concoctions in cakes, candies, drinks, baked goods... all of it.
And 13 years of "Honey, can you taste this and see if it's gone bad?" As well as "Oh I had this amazing soup, I brought you some home. Can you duplicate it?!" from friends and family.
Rob, thank you so much for this experience! Good form!
