Well, I've given it some time to get the know my pv, and I'm ready to do my review.
Been vaping away on my kr8 for about three weeks, and I must say, I am impressed. This is only the first ecig model that I've tried out, but it'll probably be the last. Oh, where to start . . . .
Aesthetics: The fact that you can get these things in a multitude of colors is awesome. I have mine in black and silver. The battery itself, and with carto attached, is bigger than I expected. In comparison to my friend's blu, it is substantially larger, and heavier in the hand. In both size and weight, there is no comparison to analogs, but that goes away quick when it comes to . . .
Vapor: Gave both my batts a full charge, and eagerly popped on one of my CigEasy RY4 Cartos in 24 mg strength. WOOO! My first ecig puff was all I expected and more. I gave it a couple of primer puffs to get the atomizer going (thank you ecig forum members), and boy did I get it going. I was getting so much more vapor than I had imagined. Pretty close in comparison to a hookah actually. The RY4 was an awesome flavor, and what a throat hit. Although vaping is a totally different experience from smoking analogs, vaping has already won in my mind for so many reasons. Time to talk about . . .
Other stuff: The 2-piece design and simplicity is what attracted me to the kr8 as a newbie vapor, and it was a good choice. Simply screw on the carto and puff away. When the carto starts running a lil' low, you can just pop on a new one or refill it (using the ccfm of course). The cartos do get a bit hot during long vaping sessions but never uncomfortably or painfully so. The batteries also have a great battery life. First day, I puffed away at mine all day and night, and it wasn't until the next afternoon that the battery finally decided to quit. Although the batts do need a fair amount of time to charge, one will last you the day. Ease of use and simplicity: the perfect appeal to any person wanting to get into vaping. I realize that there are an endless possibilities of models, mods and tricks to get the "perfect vape", but I like to keep it simple.
If you're new to the scene, and want something thats simple and doesn't require too much upstart capital, the kr8 is your choice. I picked up my kit (2 batts, charger, 5 cartos, 10 ml eliq) for about 50 with shipping. I hadn't been smoking very long before I made the switch, but I'm sure glad I did.
A big shout out to all ECF Members for your advice and wisdom in making my choice, and an even bigger shout out to Frank from CigEasy for making my transition into the world of vapor an easy and inexpensive one.
Thanks to everyone, and Happy Vaping!
