I finally broke down and bought a................dripper. OMG I said that. I've never been a dripper but always have been a proud squonker!!!
Been thinking after I built my new?????? Ok the d word. I may have to at least give the VG another try.
Dual coils at 0.7 ohms. Tried some juice from another vender. I only use 2 vendors. 70PG/30VG at 18mg. All I can say is it was brutal.
Tried some 555 aroma line. 12mg nic. The PG was wild in it. So I may break down and try some VG juice.
Who knows.
Oh yea. The D word thingy is a smok catapiller. Ok so I still can't spell.

But REO's ROCK!!!!!!!

Hi TNT, I hear you about the love for squonking! I added a dripper to my pack so that I could taste different flavors with a bit more ease. Sounds like you're a pro with dual coils and all but I found that the height of the coil is in direct proportion to throat threading. A tad too high and ouch (I also only do one coil). Don't know what dripper you got but when I drilled out the teeny tiny air hole in the IGO-L, my throat was more happy and the flavor was much better. Just a thought...

Hi Robin. Actually I prefer a single coil. The catapiller I got has a setup for dual coils. Well I tried it and don't see the big deal. Next time I'll go back to single. No muss. No fuss.

i totally agree - i've screwed around with dual coils and it seems like any benefit gets cancelled out by the slower heating time and decreased battery life.
trying new things is good for us though -keeps the bats and cobwebs out of the belfry :)

Gutter, I'm having the same experience. I don't believe I have EVER vaped a tobacco flavor (without adding menthol or something else to give it zip). And yet here I sit next to my evening mods ( 2 Reos, one with Black Clove WTA, another with Mint, Mango w/ WTA and my IGO-L filled with P-51!). The throat hit is so satisfying. Yum! I agree again with your statement re the DIY WTA not having a ton of flavor (for me....dulled taste buds), but it is great to add to other juices that have zing but need the "special sauce." The flavor doesn't get in the way. It just does the job.
I would definitely buy it to vape all by itself (yes, I said that). Who said you can't teach old dogs new tricks.

look at you! branching out and stuff!!! Go Robin!!!
hehe.

i'll admit - i'm weird about tobacco juices (err...well...most juices). i don't want a reimagined,sweetened,palette corrected,romanticized version of something vaguely reminiscent of what an open pack of cigarettes smell like.no interest whatsoever - a tin of NICE pipe tobacco is 20 bucks and you could sit around and smell it for YEARS :) .Being a pipe smoker gives you a little different mindset to appreciate things for what they are (as the tweaking variables in the process are so miniscule) so if a juice has a weird chemical or perfume note of any sort - i'm out immediately.I'd rather use something clean from the get go and finding that in a tobacco e-juice seems to be an exercise in frustration.so even with a lighter flavor, both the p51 and vs are the best for what they are that i've found ( including the net's i've tried and the wta situation not withstanding).

i guess that's just a wordy way of saying aroma's stuff seems to be head and shoulders above the other tobaccos i've used over the last 4 years and adding menthol to them is just icing on the cake (not a necessity, in this case :) )

I can relate to this. My Dad and I smoked pipes together for years. The taste, the aroma, and the special need to "break in" a brand new pipe.
Oh such found memories.
Dad bought me a hand carved Ben wade pipe for my birthday one year. Beautiful yes it was. Dog found it and did some chewing on it. To me it's still special and beautiful. I got it tucked away. Maybe someday I'll break it out for a pic.

I'd love to see it one day when you get a chance TNT ! I've got a bunch of pipes but none of them are as precious to me as my grandfather's beater aluminum bodied Kirsten. I restored it a few years back and only use it on special occasions with the same tobacco he used in it- it's not the most desireable pipe but, the memories of him teaching me woodworking as a kid in his shop with the smell of cut wood and pipe smoke hanging in the air, I wouldn't trade for the world.

Yoicks and egads Look at the "war stories" a goin' on here!

(-;

So after puttin' paid to smokin' the pipe, almost one year now, my herd sat uncleaned and collecting dust.
Two weeks back I finally started cleaning em' up for resale. Took the 2 newest and listed and sold em' eBay, got a decent amount for em.

But.

The remaining briar all have different associations or memories or, or, or.....
I know I'm not puttin' fire to any of em' again but it does tear at the heartstrings to part with some o' em'. Hmm that's silly now that I type it out.
Move over hitt, I'll join ya in smacking me head with a broom (-;

Do you really do that?

sad....
