Hi Hill, just got my first AoE device in today.... 
Big Ben...
I want to run this by you; I found I had to adjust the little pin at bottom of connector to get it to make contact.... so for me right now that "adjustable air flow" is an adjustable contact... hows that?
Any issues there?
My main concern these days is contact... is such and such a device; atty or APV.... going to fit together and make contact, whether the batt contact, top or bottom, atty contact...

whoa... didn't know it had a drip tank accessory...
Came set up with a 2.2 ohms butterfly silica wick... very very nice.
Really get the sweetness of Grants Vanilla Custard on a DNA20 device.... 9 watts right now (4.6v)
It WORKS !!!

So that little piece you are adjusting is definitely for air flow, not for connection to a device. I haven't experienced any issue with the positive making contact, personally. Does the device you're using it on have an adjustable positive post in the 510 connection?
i have it on a DNA20 box that can't be adjusted as far as i know... but yeah i could go that route no problem. right now it fires fine if i adjust that piece just .5 to 1mm out
