Hi all
As promised, my review of the Jessy and my latest flavours (I'll also put the flavour review in the stickied topic. Because I'm a SA, I can't post reviews in the general review forum, but I would encourage everyone else who reviews FSUSA flavours to do so. Share the love!) (Edit: PS: This got way too long. I'll do a seperate flavour review.)
This is the Jessy S, in Purple. She looks like this:

The first thing that struck me was how pretty she is. The photo doesn't do her justice, but she is the most gorgeous dark purple. The second thing was how SMALL she is! I've only ever used an eGo, with XL batteries, so something as tiny as the Jessy is a bit of a novelty.
It only took 1 hour to charge the battery (and after it went flat, it also took only an hour to fully charge, so a fast charge is a real bonus). Then I went to work on the serious business of vaping.
Now as most of you know, I've been converted to cartos, and always said I'd never go back to atties and carts. So I was concerned about a loss of flavour, leaking, and generally "pain in the buttness" that can come with atties. But these carts are great. They look kind of like a tank system, where you fill it up and then a bit of foam goes on the end. I immediately tossed the white "filler" type piece that came with it, and replaced it with a tiny piece of blue foam.
I struggled a bit inserting the carts into the atty. This is a TIGHT fit. So much so that at first I thought they wouldn't fit at all. But persevere. And make sure you get them in straight, because you can't twist it to line up the mouthpiece without unscrewing the atty. Eventually it fitted in just fine, with some red-headed determination.
My first thoughts were "oh yuck, I still hate atties". Why? Because I was sucking on it like a carto, hard draws, rapid succession. Don't do that, it doesnt give the fluid time to wick and tastes like burned atty. Just be gentle. Long slow draw, then wait at least 5 seconds before the next one. So once I sussed that out, I was good to go! No noticable loss of flavour from cartos (possibly because of the tank system, so minimal foam between the juice and the wick?). I did find that there was a bit more of a burned taste if I put it on "mild", rather than "strong". So I just kept it on strong. No dramas.
The Jessy S is very light, and very easy to hold. I am not a dripper (never did master that) but I think she would be great for drippers. Some of the driptips I have (all 510) are a bit of a firm fit, but they do fit (I tested them out because I knew enquiring minds would want to know).
Battery life isn't bad for a small battery. I got 3 hours out of it. And with 2 batteries, and only 1 hour to charge, that's pretty good, I thought! And obviously that wouldn't be a problem if you were hooked up to a computer, the car (it comes with a car charger) or another power point. You can vape while it's charging, which is pretty cool!
You may remember Steeljans review (which I loved, by the way). A lot of the issues she mentioned have now been ironed out, by the look of things (because her version was the first version of the Jessy, from memory). The connecters in hers were a bit wonky, so she had to actually hold the charger plug in while she vaped. That's no longer a problem. The connection is good, the plug fits in tight and isn't going anywhere. And all of my 510 drip tips fitted, some tightly, but they fitted (they didn't on the on Jan reviewed)
To summarise:
Things I loved about it:
Easy to use
Quick to charge
No loss of flavour
Great colour, that is clearly "baked in" rather than "painted on"
Massive amounts of vapour
If I'm on the laptop, I'll be able to vape without worrying about battery going flat
The charging cord (usb) is really really long! This doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is, especially if you want to vape while it's charging
Did I mention how pretty she is?
Things I wasn't so keen on:
The carts are very very tight. VERY tight. For me, who has all the coordination of a drunk badger, I like to be able to twist the cart to line it up with the mouthpiece as I never get it pushed in straight. People with more coordination might not have this problem
Um, that's it, really!
I have to give the Jessy a 9.5 out of 10. Get one. Get one now!
PPS: I've just noticed the sale in the stickies (if you are on tapatalk, you may not automatically look at them. Free Juice with a Jessy kit? DO IT!)
