I'm posting here since this is where the original thread started. And Super-X, thanks for the homework, I really like this cotton so far.

I got home today to find my PIMA and really wanted to check it out. I tried it in two different mods so far, the REO (of course) and my Viking rda on a brass Stingray.

So here are my first thoughts without a ton of time testing for longevity.

It's like handling silk, the feel of this cotton is incredible.

Easy to work with but it does get the "frizzes" while you work with it and slide it into the coil. Easiest cotton I have every loaded into a coil though, very smooth!

You will definitely fit more cotton into a coil without it expanding and getting dry hits or burning. I was amazed of the amount of cotton I could easily slide into a coil built on a 1/16 mandrel.

It takes a little longer to wick the liquid but once it is wicked, oh boy does the wick stay saturated once it's wet.

Flavor is superior to anything I've used so far and it produces significantly more vapor.

After talking to Butch I did not boil and there was no unusual taste, pretty damn clean. I hope to see a certification in our future. But I don't think this cotton will boil real well and hold it's shape, it is just so fine that I fear it may break up. I may be wrong so if anyone has boiled some please let me know.

Next are my PT2's. If the REO and Viking are any indication this may be some of the best flavor I will ever get out of this Kangers.

If you have any experience with this cotton please post it. I would like to know what others are doing.

Sorry folks for the misrepresentation in the title. I tried to edit it but the site won't let me modify it so I hope everyone reads on to catch my mistake.

I did load up a couple PT2's @ 1.8 ohms using 30 ga Kanthal with Aero AFC on all of them and one tank with normal organic cotton. Like I said in the first post, your coil will hold more of this cotton. It is strange to work with and I wish I could describe it better but it is like silky individual strands, it slides into the coil so nicely.

I loaded up all the tanks and again the PIMA took a little longer to saturate but once it did it was awesome. It may just be my imagination but the vapor production and taste is so much better. I vaped all three on a sigelei zmax v3 from 6.5 watts to 9 and the PIMA preformed nicely, the regular cotton did also but I could tell at 9 watts it was beginning to burn a little. I stayed at 7 watts and it was a damn fine vape. I'm going to keep the four PV's loaded for as long as they hold up.

If a moderator strolls past this post, could you please edit the word organic out of the title.

Follow up to the original post.

So I've been vaping the PIMA pretty exclusively and noticed I was getting a dry mouth, not a vapers tongue just my mouth getting dry. Since the only thing that changed was my cotton I decided to do an old fashion cotton boil.

I took around two feet off the cotton I bought and tied the loose ends in a "soft knot" so the cotton wouldn't fall apart during boiling. Dropped it in a pot and covered it real well with bottled spring water and boiled it for around 20 minutes. Fished it out, untied the knot and rinsed it several times with the same water.

It held together real nicely and was easy to rinse. Pour water over the top and run your hand down it to push out the excess water.

Hung it on a plastic hanger overnight to dry and started switching everything out tonight.

It's still incredibly easy to work with and load a coil. It wicks and holds juice better now and the taste has improved since boiling. The best part, no dry tongue.

I like it a lot but will continue to boil it although it seems a bit weird.

I got a question, I got a sample piece from the Cottonman.com . All I know is that it has not been chemically treated and that its only been raked and spun. It has a very soft silky feel and it is also called sliver. It is a soft beige color.
I have not used it yet as I didnt know if it needed to be washed? I hate to use it and get an funky taste or get an earthy taste.

Same exact stuff as the post above. I would suggest tying the ends in a knot and boiling.

Finally tried my sample tonight. Dual-coil Tobh @.7 ohms. No earthy taste, soaks up juice like mad.

No pre-prep on my end. As mentioned, it's much more finicky during the 'stuffing in the deck' portion of a build, but a drop or two of liquid takes care of that. Very happy so far. I'll try an RM2 at some point this week.

I got my sample today. The $2 sample seems like enough to last a year YMMV. I loaded it up on a 0.6 ohm coil in a Reo and Cyclone and saturated the wick. I had been vaping the same juice on the same setup with Ready x Wick 2mm. Did nothing to the cotton ( out of the box so to speak); no funky taste very clean.
I believe the flavor is more distinct with the Pima. The vapor production is massive and the vapor full and thick.
Time will tell how well the wicking material holds up. Definitely worth it to see if this is for you.

Hate to drum up a little bit older topic, but I've always used Japanese cotton so far. I just ordered a different brand of some USA organic pima cotton and can't wait to try it.

How would you compare Pima to Japanese?

I got a sample of this killer lookin cotton from the cotton man. I've never used it though because it's treated with pesticides and would require boiling. Homie doan boil.
