Hey boys and girls... i got a Revolution 2 and it was the dopest smoke... for a while.

now, can't get it to work anymore... I press the power button, i may get three green leds for about a second and it goes out, if at all. Many times it won't lite up at all... without an atty in place, three green leds for as long as i feel like poking the power button.

anyone have any luck with pushing the plate up and getting it to stick in it's position? It seems to me that the problem isn't in power, it's in the connection between the threaded wall, the bottom plate, and the atty.

If i open the thing up... i can make contact... and it'll pass voltage for about 10 seconds, before again the plate seems to slip too far and lose connection...

I've been told by many to poke it with a pencil, but this only works for a bit and it seems that the plate just slips back down...

So. anyone have any luck? i'm about to give up vaping and get a pack of gum... the past 6 months have seen me burn through batteries, kill atties, spend hundreds in parts, and at the end of it all i still can't get a decent vape... bad luck run :/

It sounds like you are on the right track, but I can't advise too closely on your problem. How long did you use it before problems? I have had one for a few months, and like it very well for what it is. It does sound like a loose connection. I have read that you can move that center connector (in the device itself) but I have not done it.

You have probably tried this, but have you put it back on the charger? I had an atty that worked for a while, then it kicked the protection circuit. It had no lights at any time then. I think I have read that the charger resets it. It worked for me.

Don't give up on vaping so quickly! What devices have you been using? I know the Revo v2 ain't one of the better ones out there and there are many other units you should give it a shot with.

I just moved on to a Provari from the Rev V2 and Ego batteries (with cartos) and it is a whole lot better. Really satisfied in terms of vapor and flavor.

Keep trying.

Thanks for the responses so far!!

i'm not new to this... the Rev2 i had working for 2 weeks, third week was crap, fourth weeks we're moving into dead territory...

i used to be an avid eGo user.... but i got tired of dripping, cartos are too weak for me, i'm a low resistance, cisco atty using drip monster... but it was getting stupid carrying around bottles and the smoke and a passthrough cable and trying to drip and drive!

The rev two is beautiful... if it wasn't so cheaply built... the bottom feeding, passthrough and a 20ml tank? on an LR Cisco atty? tastes like heaven.... but pushfeeding the tank with make the plastic sides pop out, and i dropped it once so that it split right open... the plastic is cheap and if i replace it i want to superglue the sides.. but then having to adjust the plate would be impossible..

I just feel like i've had a bad couple months run on the eciggs... i've had ego's burn out in my pocket, with that i was going though an atty a week and the batteries were kicking it, and now this.

I've spent hundreds in parts in the last 4 months... i can't keep this up lol.

erischilde,

I know exactly what you mean!

It's a pain to carry around drip bottles, tanks are weak, dripping is troublesome, leaks etc...

You know what you need? A variable voltage device like the PRovari or the buzz pro to turn the heat up and down, plus , you need something like the Liquinator.. huge tank that doesn't leak, full of flavor and one fill will last you an entire day. This setup will cost you a fair but but that's what i'm using and trust me,... you won't be disappointed.

Good luck, and pls don't succumb to cigarettes.

hah... i just had a smoke actually... first in a long while... i needed that 'tene baby...

see Mech... i ... don't know if i wanna go and spend another 100+ on a setup again, and worry about it failing... the female counterpart is suggesting i get an ego passthrough again, see if my supplier will swap my 306 atties for 510 atties, and go back to what i know works.

I really like the Bloog. it's compact and strong, and the PC is small.. it's all a neat little package, but it's cartos... and... well... so small!! LOL

What's your everyday smoker?

A varying voltage, the darwin or precise, are out of my budget right now...

and i'd really like to find someone who's played with their V2 alot, maybe modded it, who could make some suggestions... what an odd little device. i want to take out the flashing LEDs and maybe put in a torch or a third battery :/

I know that differing devices fit on to the connector differently. I have read that some people only a turn and a half, just a few threads catching. I just now counted on a Boge 510 2.0 carto, I get four full turns. I use a Darwin for my 'daily driver', but use the Rev 2.x daily as well. Vapor Depot has some good info on this.

When I very first got mine, it had Boge 3 ohm cartos, way too cool and only little wisps of vapor production for me. Not a big loss, Boge 3 ohm cartos are perfect for my Darwin. I initially put a 1.8 ohm atty on there, worked great for about a week, then the atty aged, and crossed the line where the Rev 2.x would not fire it at all, it tripped it every time. I have been using 2 ohm cartos, and am very happy with it.

Edit/Addendum: I also wondered about taking the lights out, and putting in something useful. I know that you can get torch bulbs that will fit a 510 connector. I think it would be very cool to put in a second 510 connector. You could make it a 'double barrel' if you wanted two cartos for some reason. Quick juice comparison on same device? No problem. Carry a second flavor for a quick flavor switch, or put the torch on there to have a flashlight. The same switch would control them like it does now.

i will kick myself for buying a 5 pack of 1.5's... and i think you're hitting the nail there because the first two, very happy weeks, were with either a joye or cisco 510 lr, which is closer to 2.0 ohms than these ciscos...

i don't like carts.. especially on a juicebox (who's idea was that???)

would be nice if there was a software override... i dunno why i think i remember reading that the "software" could be changed on the Rev.... although i'm sure i'd end up with melted plastic and boiling ejuice...
