I purchaced some 32 gauge kanthal and some fiberglass wick a little while ago to recoil my vivi nova heads. Tonight I got to the point where I had to finally do it. So I rewicked and coiled 6 atty heads. 5 of them I did 5 wraps and got inbetween 1.4 and 1.6 ohms which is what I was trying for and the other one I wrapped 6 times and got 2.3 ohms. All 6 of them seem to burn good, the coils burn evenly and I did not notice any hotspots. Now to my problem. As I finished each head I would test them on my evic to check ohms and to make sure the coils had no hotspots. Everything was good. I then put them on my twist and they fired same as they did on the evic. Then I tried them on my joyetech ego 650's, and as soon as I hit the fire button it would blink once really quick and do nothing. Then the battery would blink 3 times as soon as I took the atty off. I have 2 atty heads left that came with the novas that I havent used yet, so I tried them on the 650's and they worked fine.

Chances are if one was below 1.5 ohms then you hit the short circuit protection on the eGo 650. Best to stay with Joye eGo LR attys or 1.8ohm or above of other brands on regular eGo's. 3 blinks is the short circuit alert..... The battery may work or you may have to either put it back on the charger for a few minutes or do the 5 click on/off trick.
