Rewicking Evod head?

Waiting on my Evods and Pro tanks to arrive. Plan on re-wicking with hemp and/or cotton right away using the stock coils. Question I have is when time comes to rebuild the coil, how long are the coil legs from the wick to contact points? Any need to add NR legs with these?

What are NR legs? I'm a noob. Thanks.

NR= no resistance.

Devices that have more than a very short distance of exposed heating coil wire between where the coil is wrapped around the wick, and the contact points should/need to use NR wire, typically nickel added to the resistance wire so the exposed section of resistance wire between the wick and contact points doesn't heat up so much that it adds a burnt or off taste.

The EVOD and Pro tank heads do not use, and do not need NR legs. Although, using coils with NR legs in them would be more efficient, and may improve flavor a bit IMO.
