Rewicking stardust

guys, managed to rewick my stardust. my problem lies in the coil touching the side thus shorting it... thanks everyone for guiding me. Just a quick qns, is cotton is a gd repalcement for silica wick? i bought some sterile cotton balls, thinking of using it. Any comments?

u can try, but try using a lighter to burn the cotton balls and see what u get lol

Some have tried. They say, as long as you keep it wet, it'll still function. I prefer to spend a little money and get silica. It doesn't cost that much and u have a peace of mind when using stuffs that you need to inhale into your lungs.

bro, thanks for the comments. i tot of switching wick materials as i read some info on the silicia wick that could be harmful. so... anyway, its just a tot... thanks everyone.

Instead of cotton ball, you can try cotton gauze and roll it up thinly.
I've read that some are using this method.

Otherwise...

Just plunge a ... filter into your driptip lah, if you're worried abt the sillica shards.:p
