Couldnt hurt. But it may not be worth it imo. Im interested nevertheless. Id leave the spring be as it is collapsible in case of a atty short and replacements are only 4 bux. If you want a spring without the safety, is suggest a gold one as gold has extremely low internal resistance. Flashlight hobby sights may have some for relatively cheap.

So......would it be crazy if I had the firing pin on my Reo Rhodium plated??

I would say yes ..... totally crazy but thats just me.

If you worried about .02 volts or what ever make your coil .005 ohms lower and bingo same result with no hassle :D

Heck after 3 hits your Rhodium would be vaping just like the stock firing pin anyway and depleting every hit after that ....And you wouldn't notice again until a fresh batt went in.
Thats life man .....
People are funny 2 years ago there were people on here that thought 2 ohm attys were too low and asked if they could find 2.2 ohm somewhere .....

Now folks are doing crazy low sub ohm shizzle and still want more power than comes stock.

Thanks for your insight guys, I'm thinking the results wouldn't be worth it. If I put an in line carto meter on a mod and I'm getting 4.2 on a fresh battery that means I'm getting the full battery power without the mod giving me unwanted resistance right?

Under load I'm getting 3.9v (that's fine, I'm not complaining) but I'm still not understanding....? Is that the atty's resistance putting me down to 3.9? I know battery resistance, cleanliness, etc.. Plays a role but if the mod is suffering voltage drop due to being dirty, poor craftsmanship, etc wouldn't it be less than 4.2 when I fire it without a load??
