Ribbon Kanthal....wow

I just received a large spool of ribbon Kanthal (ordered it on eBay) in the mail today and sat down just now to setup and test a coil. Wow...is all I have to say. I have been using 28g kanthal (4 wraps) for a while now, and love it. But wow, I am really impressed with this ribbon Kanthal, HUGE throat hit, much more vapor, just incredible (for me anyway). I have read reviews and discussions on it lately and wanted to try it, I thought "Meh, maybe it'll be a little different"..it's a huge difference lol. Zero issue with hot spots and super easy to work with.

I am right now placing an order for more, the spool I just got today should last me a long time, but I am so impressed I don't want to take any chances of running out of this stuff

Yeah I only use mechanical mods now so don't have that problem (one of the reasons I sold my Provari and other vv mods and switched to only mechanical mods, I like to run low resistance)

KraKsX, try ordering some 0.5x0.1..that is almost the same as #32 wire. The 0.8 is like #28 wire, so that is why you're getting the low ohms.

I actually got some of the 0.8x0.1 by mistake, so off to the classy's with that soon, so I can order some of the other. I got mine from www.zivipf.com & it took about 8 days to receive. Really nice guy too.

So I take it you like the lower ohms? I prefer mine between 1.9 to 2.1 ohms...yea, I know, I'm probably odd , but I always say whatever works for the person using it is what counts, right?
