Hello,
I've been using ribbon Kenthal for a while and I eventually notice the top coil glowing brighter than the rest while the most bottom coil barely lights up. I was wondering if that's a symptom of something I'm doing wrong.
I use a 3/2 wrap at around 0.57 - 0.60 ohms and when I first build it, all the coils glow evenly. It isn't until the time I have to refill my tank that I notice an uneven glow on the coils. I notice that if I pull on the wick outward and/or to the right, the coils start to glow even again but the problem with that is that it doesn't last and I quickly have to repeat the procedure again.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I make sure to not wind up the ribbon wire too tightly and that the wire sits on its flat side underneath the screws.
Thanks!
