I went to my local vape shop and was looking to try the ribbon wire, but they didn't have any in stock. luckily though one of the guys had some and he told me to try some of his and gave me a foot of his! *Check out the vaping Section in Hawaii if you live on the island, they're great*
Anyways, I built a coil for me and my friend, and the ribbon is way easy to work with. I wrapped my friends at 2-3 wraps (i don't know what type of ribbon it was) and it came out to .3 ohms. I know this is low, so we just used it to test it out. Second set I made was 3-4 wraps and it came out to .4 ohms. trying to get to around .7 or .8. i wrapped it around a single folded 3mm silica wick, and on my friends chimbus and my patriot, it produces thick clouds, although I stopped using it because the switch on my friends pisces T started heating up. my patriot started getting warm too so I don't think it's good, I can tell it's stressing my battery.
I'm not sure if I should wrap it more to reduce the excessive heating or just go back to round wire, but so far I love it! it heats up very evenly and nicely. I'm not home right now but will post pictures!
