Ring ProVari hurts my atomizer (photo inside)

I'm very unhappy. I bought this ring for ProVari in intaste, for my kayfun. And a few days I saw that hurts my atomizer. Is it normal? What ring I can buy that will not harm my atomizer?

A Pro Ring just sits on the top ring of the ProVari to hide the slant. It's only function is cosmetic, and it would not eve touch whatever you have atop your ProVari. Here are 2 versions:



I do not know too much about the kayfun, but maybe it is an airflow controller you are looking for? The Hippo from Atmistique is the only one I know of.
