I only use caromizers- never had luck with the cartridges or filling them.

I use the Boge 2.0 cartomizers. Fill with about 30 drops. I pop off the end and tilt the carto on an angle. Drip in about 10 drops then shake it like a thermometer, fill with more drops, shake, repeat until no more juice will go into the cartomizer. Pop the cap back on, or even better, a drip tip and you're good to go.

Boge cartomizers are the most popular. I love them. On Riva, since it is >450mah battery you can use any of these:

standard resistance (2.8-3.1) - longer battery life
medium high 2.5 - warmer hit, a bit less battery life
low resistance 2.0 - hotter hit, even less battery life

For me, thinner juices like 20% VG or less (i.e 80pg/20vg) and especially if the juice is fairly clear seem to give me the longest good performance with Boges.

You need to fill totally (like 18+ drops - I hold a tissue on the threaded end hole as a drip juice into the stuffing), then I clean it up, blow out into the threaded end to clear the air channel, sop up any loose juice above the stuffing. Then first the first fill I lay it on different sides for 15-20 minutes to make sure every bit of stuffing is damp (so I don't singe the stuffing). hen I just keep it damp with juice. When the vape seems a bit light or a bit dry - I add juice. Needs juice less often than carts. A Boge will work decently for me for over a week (which for me is 2-3 weeks since I alternate two of them). They won't last forever like carts for they are nice.

Drip tip is nice too! use to drip juice on the atty. Or a plastic or delrin one can be used as a mouthpiece on a carto (easy to remove to add juice).

Always make sure the threaded end of your battery is dry and clean before putting on a charger.

I think I read somewhere that the dual coil cartos are really meant for mods...i think i read it diminishes the life of a riva battery.

Personally i use the boge 2.0 cartos and they seem to work really well for when I'm on the road. If I'm at home though, I kinda prefer switching between a few lr atomizers to switch up flavors/test juices and just drip while I watch tv :)

I have a regular black riva 510 and steel se 510 and like em both a lot!

I got a little over 2 days out of my Riva (1100 mAH), so a little less battery life isn't going to hurt you. Plenty of videos to show you how to fill cartos and carts also. I'm on the lazy side, so use the condum fill for cartos and then top off. I just received the 1.5 SmokeTeck cartos and they are larger, so fill from both ends and then blow out the straw in the center like the others said.

I did the carts for a couple months and it was fine. They rinse out easy with warm water and dry fast, so it's a little easier for a person that hasn't found his main juices yet. Once you have your favorite 20 flavors, then the cartos work better for me anyway. Good luck and never buy Alien Visions Boba's Bounty, Backwoods Brew's Casablanca or Kick Bass Vapor Rice Crispy Treats. You won't like them and it leaves more for me. :)

I've heard great things about the Boge carts, but haven't tried them yet. (Just got my Riva 510 too). But, I wanted to offer up another option, which I'm using with my new Riva (and totally loving). I'm using the 'tank' system with it. I have a 510-T LR atty. The LR atty gives better hits, they're really consistent throughout the use of a tank (unlike the stock carts), and the flavor seems better. And, the whole tank thing means less messing around with refilling.
