Riva 510 charger problem or is this normal?

Well i guess not the charger- the wall adapter- when i plug the usb charger into the adapter and the adapter into the wall (battery already attatched to usb charger) after a few seconds or so it starts making a hissing sound- it charges the battery just fine. but when i heard it i immediatley got pretty nervous and thought it was frying my battery so i removed it (by the time i noticed it, the battery had already almost completley charged and is working fine)

is this normal? its the adapter that comes in the LF Riva 510 kit...

its pretty faint (thats how i didnt realize it right away) but its there

Sounds like a loose connection on the inside, creating a small arc. if it's under warranty, I'd email or call em and see if you can get it replaced. I know if you got the Riva from Liberty Flights they offer a 3 month warranty.

fair enough- its brand new.

is it safe to use until i get the replacement?

I would advise against it. That's why its good to have at least 2 of everything.
