OK, I've mentioned my issues on other threads, but yesterday and today I have more developments...both of my LF Riva batteries are being charged with the 'slow' 510 charger due to sending 2 fast chargers back to LF after two failed batteries from another kit. I am trying USB from powered hub, and wall plug with both batts. Both for more than 6-8 hours at a time. Vapor production is anaemic compared to just a few days ago with the exact same setup and juice. REALLY frustruated. After spending $50 on 2 Riva kits (because of the issues with the batts dying in the first one I quickly ordered the second kit to keep my going through the return process at LF). I have now ordered the EGO PT (another $25) just to have a backup that is not a Riva. So I should wind up with 4 Riva's and an 1100 mah Ego when all is said and done. Is there ANYTHING I can do to improve the Riva's while I wait for the new chargers/Ego? I'm really wanting a cig today because the vape has been so disappointing the past 24 hrs!!! The best I can describe, the Rivas are acting like they're on hour 5 of use when they're fresh off the charger. I cleaned all my Fluxos and dry-burned, so the seem ok. Even tried them on old 510 batts, and they were way better, but only last an hour or two. HELP?!

Is there anything I can clean the connections with besides alcohol? I don't have any laying around, but wonder if that may be the problem...it's the only other thing I can think of to try. The chargers are working fine with the 510 autos, so it's not them. I just can't believe that 4 batteries are all going to die in less than a month when these 510's are "disposable" and have lasted almost 4 now. Thought I read something about lemon juice? What about white vinegar?
The batteries sound damaged. Where did you get them? Where you careful only screwing stuff in as far as needed to connect or did you screw stuff in tight?
I use a Riva Lite kit and a Riva 510 SE battery from liberty-Flights.com and the only one I killed (soon after I got it) was my own fault for screwing things in/on too tight (mainly the charger) and then being clumsy trying to lift the center post I had pressed in. Most people get them at the same shop because Liberty-Flights.com Riva 510 kits are all new stock Eastmall-made so they are 3.7v (the loose Riva 510 SE batteries also are, you would have to ask them about other loose batteries).
And warning - never ever charge ANY normal 510, Ego, Riva battery on ANY of these chargers
- FS510, Volcano's Volcano model, Trio, Blu and some jerk Ego called Ego-J or something by a stupid clone maker (all reverse polarity will fry normal polarity 510 and Ego/Riva style batteries)
- auto 510-T (some difference that makes this cable ruin or melt normal 510 and Ego/Riva style batteries)

Thanks for the reply dormouse. Both kits are from Liberty Flights. One was the carto deluxe version, the other was just the deluxe. I've been pretty careful about screwing them on, and have also tried adjusting the center posts. That seems to have helped a bit with one, but the other seems very weak. These disposable 510 batts are working like champs compared to the Rivas. If this is the case and it's "user error", then they are WAY too fragile. I only tighten until just after I get resistance/contact. The weaker one I'll get maybe 1/2 hour - hour before it starts flashing 3 times and gets real light on vapor, usually after a couple hits in a row over several minutes. At this point it's lasting no longer than the 510's (maybe less) before I have to put it back on the charger. The only thing that I see that I was doing wrong was not screwing it onto the charger prior to plugging in the charger. Didn't see that note on their site until after I ordered the second kit, and it isn't very clear in the instruction card that comes in the kit that this is a serious no-no.
I guess all I can hope now is that the original kit batteries get replaced, and the EGO PT works like a charm. I just know that Rivas have a great reputation both on here and in the community at large, and was hoping for a much better experience. I'm trying to convince my wife to switch from cigs to vaping, and all this hassle is not making my job any easier

Another one NOT TO BUY if you have a Kgo/Ego type is this one 510 USB Charger, No cable
