So after I finished vaping last night I plugged up my batter to charge on my Riva 901. I woke up and vaped for about 30 minutes and it stopped working. I've tried both of my atty's, neither worked and there was no burnt smell. (one atty hasn't been used more than once was just a back up). I've charged the batteries again to make sure and they still don't work though the light on the button activates when I press it down.

I'm confused and i haven't even had this thing for a week.

I have a Riva 901 and I'm diggin' it hard. I had a problem like this and I ended up finding out it was due to the wall outlet adapter that's separate from the USB charging cord. I plugged the battery into the USB charger only, then plugged the USB end into the PC and let it charge overnight... BAM, fixed. Contacted support and now a new wall charging adapter is on the way.

Although I've also seen a few posts concerning Riva battery connections not making correct contact, so that may be it as well. There's a thread on here that shows how to barely lift the battery-end connection up. I haven't had that problem yet, but it seemed to help quite a few people. Anybody out there have the link to post here (I'd search for it but I'm chasing a screaming, pooping 2 yrs.-old atm).

Are the threads on the battery side allowing the atomizer to go all the way down to make connection? Is the charger's red light turning to green signaling the end of the charge?

I don't have much experience with mine yet but I use it like a whipped mule. Hopefully somebody with more experience will chime in here. And if all else fails, I'd contact the supplier's support. Every model of e-cig made is known to have a few bad pieces in the bunches.

Good luck in finding out what's going on with your 901!

If you're sure both attys are good it sounds like they aren't making connection with the battery. You could also check the battery for output if you have a multimeter. If that checks out well then clean the contacts good with alcohol and a Q-Tip or whatever you have to get the hard to reach spots. If that doesn't work check to see if the center is pushed up to far in the attys to make contact, this has a tendency to happen when they are screwed down to much.

Allright I charged the batter overnight attached to my computer (6 hours or so). I woke up and the light still hadn't turned green. I've charged both my batteries in the wall and attached to the USB in my comp. they still don't work. I know I can call liberty flights for replacements but i'd like to isolate the problem first (is it the battery or charger?).

Btw not sure if this matters but if i put my ear by the charger and it was making a faint ringing noise, don't know if thats normal or not!

Oh and yes i did clean out all the connections with a q-tip and alcohol

My fist Riva was a dud from L F with similar but not the same problem. You can try gently pulling up the centre pole at the bottom where the atomizer makes contact with the battery with a toothpick or similar, baring in mind it is only meant to have a little more or less than 1 mm of movement .
However this didn't work for me . If this is the case then the best thing you can do (which I am sure L F will agree as they were more than helpful) is pack up your whole kit and send it back . The replacement Riva's I got have been excellent .
Good luck and keep at it.

Both my attys stopped working after a couple days too, and I did all the things you did (charged and changed bats, cleaned atty with alcohol, etc.). I finally realized that even though I thought I'd cleanned the attys, there was a bit of the filler material that had more or less burnt onto the connector point. You're probably not supposed to do this, but I took a tweezers and then a toothpick and lightly scraped on the connection to get the filler off, then blew the gunk out by blowing on the other end of the atty. Worked like a charm.

Countrygirl, apparently we're a resourceful bunch from the get-go. It's amazing what kind of wooly-goggin' homemade fixing a person can come up with in the middle of a nic-fit!

OP, find anything out yet? LB is who I went through, as well, and they should have replacements here soon (I hope!). I've heard nothing but good about their CS.

allright...... over a week later I got my replacement battery and charger. It started charging and then when I unplugged it and put it all together it fizzled the atty for a bit then started blinking. Sooooooo I plugged it back up to the charger and not jack 2 batteries and a new charger they all refuse to work. Its almost 5 am here and I just spent the last 5 hours glaring at a battery. If the world ends tomorrow its cause I lost my temper with this P.O.S

LF are EXCELLENT with returns - I swear one day I'm gonna get called out for being some sort of affiliate because I'm always tongue washing their behind :)

ANYWAY.....

I went through many many pv's and now I solely have the Riva 901 - it's just about the worst batterytoatty for problems, BUT - I LOVE the taste soooooo much I persevere and every time something fails LF replace and resend with no problems.

One day someone will fix the 901 problems, until then I'll rely on LF's wonderful service and enjoy the best tasting vape in the world :)

Oh....btw - change atty - your atty could be frying them, I've had it happen. keep backups for your backups as many people on here say!
