Great work, Michael! Thanks!

I take your word for it, but those two PCB's don't look the same in the video.

Did you examine the switches while you were at it? I've been having conversations with a technical wiz type who has been fiddling with stuff to connect to fat batts. He says that the eGo has a more robust MOSFET than the Riva (or any other eGo clone) and better PWM (pulse-width modulation, right?)*.
* Just don't ask me what that means. For example, here is how I defined 'mosfet' in a post last month: "a cute little mouse-like creature living in your fat batt's switch. It is allergic to the high amps (gremlin) associated with LR attys and cartos." [Lest a reader gasp in horror, I did go on to quote the boring technical definition.]

I'll do a follow up on these with closeups... the only difference is the color of the PCB. chip positions and numbers are the same.

Also, the white PCB from the Riva has the imprint "Hello013". Which would relate the device to the "Hello016".

However both batteries, as noted, carry a joyetech brand.
