I've had my EM RiVa for a couple of weeks now. I like it, although I still haven't quite got the hang of which 'piece' to attack (bat, atty or cart) when the vape gets skinny. I figure I'll work it out in time, though. (And if not, I'll be back here asking more questions!)

I want to order another PV for my nephew to try. If he doesn't like it, I'll keep it for a back-up. If he does like it, I'll probably order another to be my backup.

I'm looking at the 3 click RiVa and 3 click RiVa-T. What do you think about the 3 click on/off feature? How much bigger and heavier is the tank model than the regular RiVa? What are the pros and cons of switching to a tank model? And there's no such thing as a 2-piece cartomizer/bat set-up with a tank, right?

(You guys are so patient. I know you get asked the same questions over and over again, but I'm too sleepy right now to search for a prior thread on this. So many thanks for your help, as always.)

I havn't seen or read about these before but I do have Riva's .
My advice . don't bother with the tank stuff until later on . about the best and easiest way to keep your Riva running great is to get some Boge cartomizers , Mabe try some standard ones first and get some low resistance ones to try .If you keep them topped up they will last for weeks with no cleaning or maintenance .
As far as three clicks I could see that getting annoying after a while.
Good luck

I think the three-click feature or something very like it will become pretty mainstream. I think it's a great idea. A PV in the pocket sure runs low on power faster than one on a desk.

It's tough to figure out which tanks are leaky or prone to flooding your atty, I hope someone who has made that journey chimes in for you.

There are cartos that don't use any filler, so they're one piece and hold a lot of juice. Some have complained about leaking and flooding there too, but they seem to get better as they refine the designs. Hopefully someone who knows about that drops by too.

Good luck with whichever one you go with :toast:

First tings first. when you get lower vape production you might want to check to see if your cart is low on juice drop a couple of drops and vape on it again. Don't drop to many drops you don't want to flood the atty or have it leak.

I don't have a EM Riva kit but they are just like any other Ego out there with a 510 battery connector. The 3 click system is good if you want to store your PV in your pants, purse or your shirt pocket and you don't want it to go off if the button gets pressed accidentally causing a skin burn or worse yet fry your atty and then you have to go buy more. Reg atty are about 5-8 bucks Tank style attys about 11-15 each to replace and if cleaned right and are taken care of should last about 2 months or a bit more.

On my ego kit I have a 5 click on and off system. I hit the button 5 times quickly and the led lights up and i'm ready to vape press down on the button and vape once i'm done vaping and want to put the PV in my shirt or pant pocket I press the button 5 times quickly then give it one more tap to see if the light lights up if it doesn't lite up I then know its off and I can put it in my pocket and it will not go off till i take it out and hit the button 5 times till the led lights up. For me its what I wanted in an PV safety.

Tank PV's and attty cart PV weigh about the same and are about the same size the difference is a Tank PV will hold more juice then an atty/cart PV will.
If you want to meet the middle ground of a tank and a atty/cart like your riva kit look into getting boge cartos.

Your carts might hold maybe 7-10 drops of liquid in it
A tank will hold 15-18 drops
A boge 510 cartamizer will hold more like 20-25 drops in them,

A Cartamizer will make your system into a 2 piece PV since the Atty is built into the cartamizer.

So right now the Riva kit you have is
Battery>>>>>Atty>>(cone cover)>>>Filled cart

A Tank will be:
Battery>>>>>(Atty Build into the cone)>>>> Filled Tank

A Boge cartamizer on your riva:
Battery>>>>> Boge Cartamizer (cone cover )

Cartamizers cost like 1.80 to 2 bucks each and they last for like 2-3 weeks depending on how you treat them.
