We (and by that I mean I) usually don't worry about the volts. We just lower the ohms on the build. I'd say try a 1 ohm coil for starters adjust as you feel necessary. KGD (Koh Gen Do) cotton is getting a lot of play, personally I use readyxwick ceramic. Yeah it's expensive at about 8 bux a foot but when you don't have to change it for months I feel it pays for it's self. YMMV

^^ This. There was somebody stacking batteries to get there, but that introduces complication not needed. Just lower your ohms.

It's all ohms law. Use this calculator Online Conversion - Ohm's Law Calculator 6 volts on a 1.66 ohm coils is 21.6 watts. 4.2 volts at 21 watts = a .86 ohm coil. 4.2 volts is a fully charged 18650 or 18490 battery, we typically put in a new battery when voltage drops to 3.7.

I think you need a VV Reo to get 5V or 6V. The VV Reo uses two 18350 batteries I believe. Most people use something around 2 ohm coils, wicking used doesn't change at higher voltage. The VV Reo has been discontinued but they still come up on the classifieds occasionally.

More or less I was referencing battery stacking in the Reo OG. Regarding the VV GRand I thought about getting one when rob was still making them but part of the reo beauty is no electronics to fail. So this wasn't an option for me. Besides if I wanted. Vv I have my provari which idk but since I got my hands on my rm2 the provari has been retired. That's been a year or so now. Kinda sad really

Ah sweet, thanks for sharing the ohms link. I'll play around with it.

For me I never cared about the "well I have this voltage and this ohm and I need this to be that". Business.

I always built my coils to taste when when I was using vv on my provari. Same deal. Got 3 ohm carto or atty and adjusted volts to taste. But with your statements above. It looks like I was pretty close anyway. :)

Thanks fellow reonauts for the replies.

I have a mod that allows me to bypass the electronics and use it like a mechanical, that uses stacked 18350s like a vv grand. So 8.4v with fully charged batteries.

Being my usual self, i made a 1Ω coil on a RM2. If your question is 'will the RM2 perform at this level?' then the answer is yes. I have to say a 70W vape will not become an all-day vape, because it is rather toasty!

For comparison, my usual ADV is dual coils at about 0.3Ω on a grand with the upgraded contacts. And that is a 58W vape, but much safer in the overall scheme of things, because i do not have to worry about pairing batteries and so on.
