No. I'm pretty sure both my RM2s came with O-rings, but I discovered quickly they weren't necessary. They're helpful for pointing your air hole in a direction you might prefer, but I've never had any leaks around the bases of my RM2s, so my experience tells me there isn't any huge reason to use one.

I had to order more of those o'rings. Both my REO's do and always have leaked at that area. I resolved it by using that o-ring on the RM2 and 3. Not a leak since.

Same for me. Leaking without orings, no leaks at all with them. I used the same size oring as in the bottle cap, FWIW

I've probably been using this one as well, but didn't know if that's what it was or not so glad you said that.

I have a lot of the bottle o-rings but they seemed too fat so I tried the one under the RM2 and it was perfect for me :)

which one?

Dan.....you won't need an Oring to adjust where the air hole is if you ordered a new one that has the adjustable 510, that's what it does, try it first without an O ring.......Rob says he never uses one, and never has leaking, but if you do have leaking, that can help solve the issue. It worked for me too, although......not right away. I did see someone post that if the atty has a split in the 510 they need an oring and if it's a hole they don't, but not sure if that has made a difference for me. I would have a couple on hand just in case.
With the adjustable 510 make sure you tighten the atty down really well

I used o-rings of various sizes on all my Reos at first to position the atty's air intake where I wanted it. Not needed to position with the new adjustable 510's... but I still use them anyway on most of my Reos. In part because "positioning" with the new adj 510 sometimes leaves a small gap between the deck and atty, a place to catch dirt that is not easy to keep clean without removing the atty. I think AP's comment about over squonking is a main cause for leaking, easy to do with the smaller atty's or any atty with a larger joose port. But a lot of atty's themselves leak as well. I found that especially with a lot of the 22mm atty's I bought, some that leak constantly, one profusely even if always kept vertical (a large rda that IMO is not suitable for BF, barely even for dripping). I don't use them anymore so a non issue now days.
