Do I need an RMA# to send in for repair a Mist I got second hand (third hand?) from someone on ECF?

just fill out the RMA form
RMA form
and include it with your mist when you send it in.

You don't need an RMA number assigned prior to shipping

Ark's got it right Send it Priority mail with confirmation, that way you will know that it got there.
