RMS tends to be more accurate than Vavg as the voltage remains consistent. The difference is very noticeable in a vaporizer.

Yes, most people use RMS for accuracy.

Vavg would be used by someone who likes a hotter vape than what might be achieved in RMS mode with a regulated device. While uncommon, there are some who prefer vavg.

Depends on the atomizer and juice level sometimes.

On a half filled clearomizer/nova setup I can tell a huge difference at 8 watts with RMS vs Vavg. On a properly set up genesis atty ... not so much.

At the end of the day ... use whatever you like those most. Just remember that if in Vavg mode your voltage/wattage setting is NOT what your pv is actually outputting.
