Bottom line: if you own one of these, don't feel like you got completely scammed. It's a good starter unit that can be very satisfying if you take the time to learn how to use it to optimal effect.

I so totally agree. Been vaping for about 4 weeks, and bought this before doing any research, and then finding out it's not a "community favorite", but I am actually glad I got this one. I found a source for cheap atty's and batteries (though my original ones are still going strong). It did take me about 2 weeks to actually learn to smoke it, but now, it's awesome.:D

hi everyone, i just got my SE gold in the mail, don't worry it was only 48 bucks so i didnt get too ripped off, but i was wondering if anyone knew if you really have to charge the batteries a full 8 hours before the first use, or should you just wait till the light turns green.
Just wait until the light turns green.

The 8 hours thing is a myth that goes back to the caveman days of older batteries.
I believe they were Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd) or something.

There is a thread all about this if you want detailed information:

I got an order of 5 extra capacity carts this week from AquaVaporCigs.com and I am very satisfied. I find I can vape pretty much all night in "almost pacifier" mode and MAYBE I'll have to refill once. The regular carts required 2-3 time more refilling. And since I don't vape much during the workday, a morning fill lasts until I get home at 6:00.

Overall, I am more satisfied with my RN4081 than my first e-cig (a Blu knock-off L88b). That one is good for vapor, but the battery dies in under an hour, vs. around 2-3 hours for my RN4081.

Both the RN4081 and the L88b are inconsistent vapor producers, though. Some days I can generate clouds of the stuff, other days I feel like I am sucking wet cement and all I get are a few wisps. I find I need to give one brand a break when that happens, and when I switch back, vapor is good again.

My only complaint with the RN4081 is that I have to really drag on the thing for a while to get a decent throat hit. The L88b has a more consistent throat hit, IMHO.

I thought about picking up a 510, just for the heck of it. But I dunno. I am happy with what I have, and part of my switch to e-cigs was to save some cash, so ...

I like the RN4081! I liked it so much (Plus I have 100 Pre-filled carts)
That when the battery died, I took the atty and the connector, and made my own Magnum, with a UV LED... (last night! Merry Christmas to me!)
Sweet! Great vapor! Great Throat hit! Great Flavor!
5v + RN4081's ROCK! I like strong hits etc...
It took a little time to make, but,
Veni, vidi, vici (Used to be on PM Marlb's packs) Ha! So true!
VVV roman numerals to 555? perhaps?
That would be my fav flavor too.
So, there ya have it, underrated? nah...
Just great PV'ing with a nice mod!
Off to shoot pool with my modded PV!
Ciao !!!

I just got a 510 as an upgrade from my RN4081. The 510 is great and produces a ton of vapor. With a cart mod, I use it as my "driving" e-cig, since it holds a lot of juice.

However, as a result, I've started dripping with my RN4081. And, wow, what a difference. I was getting inconsistent, terrible performance with my RN4081 when using carts but, with dripping, I get awesome vapor production! I think I'll be using it as my "at home" vaporizer.

2-3 drops works well for me and takes me about 5-7 minutes of constant vaping to go through.

No doubt the RN4081 is a great little dripping machine!

You might want to consider boring out the hole in the mouthpiece to make it even bigger.
It will give you a much easier draw if you want that.

I am one of those fools who bought the smoking everywhere at the mall, actually my girlfriend bought it as an early birthday gift. Honestly if I didnt get it then I probably never would have. I have the Gold which is an RN4081 and it works great. I have changed a few things on it to make it better.

-I am using the single hole attys, got em from tottaly wicked and what a difference in draw and vapor production.

-Dripping through the back end of the atty, no issues with battery this way at least for me.

-Using PTB mod for carts when on the go and it wicks like magic.

Gotta say it is underated. I came here first then bought i have tons of e cigs. 510s kr808s dse901s 801s 084s. Im really a mini guy and so far my 4081 has kicked .... Been the same atty for 1 mounth and has the best vapor of any. The 510 and the VK kick out the same amount but they are more expensive and ive noticed the 510 is kind crummy for life of attys. The VK (kr808d) is excellent. If you like dripping its not that good because it uses cartomizers. There service is good and they have great tabacco flavors and for ease of use hell yea. But still the rn4081 rocks for those who drip and rip. Im more than happy with mine.;)

Actually, the 4081 has gotten a bad rap because of Smoking Everywhere. Just because SE is a rip-off company, people think that the product is junk. I think that the 4081 atomizers are among the most rugged on the market today. Folks just won't give them a chance.

Jim, or anyone else please chime in:

How's the tastiness of the 4081 vapor compared to other attys, especially 401 and 801? I have a 4081 battery connector but am waiting to order an atty and build a box until I I hear from 4081 fans re taste.

Have tried the following attys myself--401, 510, 801, 808 and 901--so I wondered where the 4081 would fall into the tastiness spectrum.

I did scan through the multiple pages of this thread but didn't see the answer to my question. 'Scuse if I'm blind and I missed it.

The quality of the cartridge plays a large part in the "puffs" that you achieve from each cartridge. On the average we have users obtaining 60-80 puffs from our RN4081 cartridges. It did take us some searching and testing though to find an excellent manufacturer of them. Our first couple of manufacturers, 30-40 was more the average.
