Did the cartridge run out of liquid? I don't think e-cigars usually have an auto-cleaning cycle. Check the cart...add some liquid to it or replace it, and also drip a few drops of liquid into the atomizer. Lack of liquid/old cart or fibers from the carts caught and burning in the atomizer are really the only explanations for bad taste.

The cart was full of liquid, I had just topped it up.

It is possible a fibre or two burned... looking at the cart the there are a few bright white spots showing which I dont recall seeing before. Possibly melted fibres.

I've washed and refilled the cart as the liquid smelled burnt, but I dont see a way of cleaning the atomizer so hopefully a few drips and a bit of puffing will get through the bad taste.

Unfortunatley I dont have a spare cart with me as I'm stuck at work :(

direct drip the atomizer for best results.. the cigars we have run the atomizers quite hot.. the atomizer has to be kept wet to avoid the burning taste..

carts simply dont feed the atomizer enough liquid.. two or three drops into the atomizer is the best way to use generic cigars..

in fact its the best way to use any e smoking device that comes with a reasonably sized cart.. sadly bigger carts dont feed the atomizer very well.. only the very small mini types seem to manage this properly..

ps.. also the cigars have an old type pressure switch.. they can stick on.. the pressure (suck) switch is their weak spot..
