Hello there,

So, I've been lurking around your lovely forum here for a bit, and I finally have a question for ya'll:

I've been re-filling my RN4081 carts with JC smoke juice. I've replaced the batting on a few (after reading a lot and watching a video or two) and I think I did it right but the re-filled cartridges give me one or two good hits and then quit. The cartridge is still full of juice, it's just not vaping. If I put more juice in, I just get a mouthful of the stuff which is pretty darn unpleasant.

Advice, anyone?

When you restuffed the carts, did you over stuff? If the fiber is packed too tight, it may restrict the flow of juice to the atomizer bridge.

Is the stuffing pushed too far down in the cart? If pushed down too far, it will have trouble transfering juice from the fiber to the atty.

Well, I think you're right and I was over-stuffing the cartridge. I just re-did one with about 1/3 the amount of batting I was using and I'm getting much better results.

thanks!

That's great:thumbs: I've learned over the years, that if a problem comes up, look up the old lessons, and go back to basics. It usually works.

I ran into the exact some thing and was a bit discouraged. Using a VERY tiny amount of polyfil, just enough to keep the juice from freely flowing out seems to be the best way. But as you've discovered, it is definitely trial and error to get it just right! Next I'm going to try this "teabagging" deal where folks have been cutting up empty tea bags to use as wicking to some great success. Seems a bit labor intensive and the big bag of polyfil I bought seems to work quite well and should last several lifetimes!!

I bought my cloud9 with 100 extra carts, found the best filler was the aqua-tech blue filter material from wal mart, so iredid all them, then realized i only really need 10 carts at any given time, if fill all they just go bad by time i got to use them so I keeping 10, giving away other 90 to any one that wants them, to keep it fair only 5 carts per person just send me a SASE. I will send ya 5 of the best rn4081 carts, just perfect amount of fill to draw good and not leak,

BTW, all carts have had an alcohol bath to remove germs ;-)

Hello and welcome
If I might add to the above, if it's spitting juice and you are not getting vapor the atty may be flooded too, blow out the atty from the battery end and make sure the stuffing can contact the bridge and not just leak liquid inside. the liquid needs to be absorbed or wicked thru the bridge and surrounding mesh to enter the atomizer bowl to heat the right amount at one time

OK
I have 2 4081's, the SmokeStik Hendu and Safe Cig. If you smoked over 1 pack of analogs a day the best advice is simply buy something else. I do not feel the 4081 is powerful enough to satisfy enough for that level of habit- in my view. I still puff the 4081 but only once in a while.

This is why you have gone threw batteries already - and you will continue to do so. Super mini's are going to have that problem. Just the way it is.
