After what will forever be known to me as the Smoked Salmon Catastrophe, I was loath to try any flavours off the beaten path. True, the e-juice path is becoming pretty well beaten, but that path tends to wind past the fruits, pause at the tobacco counter, grab some stuff from the coffee aisle, then fill up the rest of the cart with everything from the dessert bakery.

Despite the insane notion of looking for my fix at the deli counter, I've adopted a philosophy that if it doesn't move, I'm going to vape it. And if it does move, I'll wait until it meets the business end of a butcher, and then I'll vape it.

So, with mouthwash and a bucket on standby, and a contact list of next-of-kin pinned to my shirt, I mixed up some PG/VG zero nic @ 20% roast beef, said a brief prayer, and took a hit from my favourite 510.

And the result is...mmmmmmmm! Astounding. It's beef, medium rare, and I'm sure I can taste a hint of onion on the exhale.

Throwing discretion to the wind, I whipped up a batch of Roast beef at 12mg, with a dash of butter and some bell pepper (both of these also from FlavourArt).

Sometimes when artificial flavours combine the result is nothing like what you'd expect, but this time around the tastes blend perfectly.

As I type this, I've got "Roast Beef Sub" in my SB, and Doc Pepper in my PT. It's like I'm chowing down at Quiznos Subs, but with zero calories.

My poor stomach doesn't know what to do with itself. It's like, "I keep seeing the flag up, but there's nothing in the mailbox!"

Now if somebody would just synthesize lamb and tzatziki, I could head over to Zorba's Gyros.

I said the same thing about the Kung Pao I got from liquidxpress.com when I first tried it (and vaped it for a solid 12hrs). I feel like I am getting full but then I am hungry again.

Okay, one caveat about this roast beef. If you're going to make this juice, dedicate an atty to it.

I'm having a devil of a time getting the flavour out of my atty. A few dry burns and a vodka rinse and I'm still tasting roast beef through other juices. Roast Beef + Peppermint/Orange = not good. Not good at all.

The whole thing reminds me of Violet Beauregarde - just make sure you don't end up in the juicing room ;-)

What with the combination of syringes, graduated cylinders, droppers, pipettes and dozens of little bottles of candy flavouring, I've been referring to my kitchen as Willy Wonka's .... Lab pretty much since I started vaping.

Now that I've started modding, I might rename it Willy Wonka's Monster Garage. I wonder if that'll let me cheat on Sandra Bullock?

Update on atty cleaning: I've now soaked the atty overnight in vodka and it still smells and tastes like roast beef. Definitely give this juice its own atty if you plan to make it.

Im almost there with you thinblueline36,

After my misguided attempt at trying "Cured Ham" from flavourArt
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/92522-flavourart-cured-ham.html

I too shall endeavor to persevere, and have ordered roasted chicken, crispy bacon, and amber liquid. (among other oddball flavors)

As far as amber, if you've never smelled it, you wouldnt know. Its an *awesome* incense scent.. Back in the day I would burn ground sandalwood, and amber chunk on hot coal for incense. Amber is very, very nice, I think it would be an incredible addition to a lof of the tobacco flavors I've tried, if not a vape on its own.

The Bread crust in the above mentioned link has a purpose for a flavor I'm developing, as does the black pepper. Both of those flavors vape well on their own... I have no idea what went so wrong with the cured ham.. :)

I am verklempt.

I must applaud you all for your adventurous spirit. While I've always thought of myself as being an open-minded sort, I don't think I will ever be quite brave enough to vape meat flavors. There is just something so fundamentally wrong about that to me. But cheers to you all!

The mere act of vaping roast beef, cured ham, liverwurst, sardines, fois gras, squeezle, truffled fruit bat, or any other "odd" flavors would be seen by my wife as grounds for divorce (not to be confused with the Elbow song [oh, hell confuse it with the song if you like]).

Now where did I leave my bottle of borscht and meerkat pate liquid...

Sounds like a promising new diet! Vape meat and lose weight. Not to mention it is a protein flavor. The Adkins Vapor Diet!!!

A problem with experimenting with these flavours is that they're what some folk refer to as "atty killers". Not that they burn out the atty, but once that flavour goes in, that's all that atty's ever going to taste like.

My roast beef atty is now clearly marked. I thought, after a couple of days of vodka rinses and dry burns, that I'd cleaned out the atty. I even posted such. But then I didn't use that atty for a couple of weeks, and yesterday, I dripped some DK-RY4 in it and wound up vaping RY-Beef.

Look around the forums and you'll find others have had the same experience with other savory flavours.

When a recipe turns out great, it just means that juice gets it's own atty. But if the recipe is a disaster, the atty probably needs to be tossed.

This is absolutly fascinating. Extream vaping, a brave new world!
Still, I am waiting for the brave sole that will fill a carto with flavorarts 'bone marrow' Im sure I saw it on the list.

I would die to see a video of this happening, I imagine they would have some epic faces involved before and/or after the first draw.
