Rolled past 2 full weeks cig free 3 hours ago and new SMOK GX 2/4 yesterday!

I'm still a bit in awe and shock that after 48 years smoking pack and half plus a day For Me it was so easy to quit thanks starting to vaping.

Already upgraded to the new SMOK GX2/4 yesterday afternoon. Keeping the SMOK Stick V8 I started with for a backup and already passed on my other Stick V8 (which was a 2nd or backup) to a friend who had been following my quitting and he's now on day 4!

Really liking the wattage control for dialing in. Using the Big Baby T8 .15ohm coils. Started yesterday 50w but now running it 80w the past few hours. Smooth and great flavor with mega clouds, not that I am cloud chasing. Have a T12 atty on order to play with in 4 battery mode with it's crazy 350w max. Ok that one is for cloud chase play. Plan was and is to usually use it 2 battery mode making it about same size as the Alien.

Dang, almost a half century smoker and able quit easy peazy. Amazing. So glad vaping has made the advances it has! Curtis (who is using my 2nd V8 and now on day 4 off cigs) had tried those cheapo cigalikes a couple times but couldn't stand them. Glad I did my research cuz I'd thought to give them a try but never did. After taking a few hits off my V8 with a good Turkish Blend vape over the course of a couple days he decided to go for it too.

I'd never recommend vaping to anybody who doesn't smoke BUT I'd highly recommend vaping to any smoker!

Oh, I started on 6gm 2 weeks ago, 5 days later dropped to 4.5mg, last 4 days 3mg. May or may not go lower or even zero don't know yet...

It sure is great isn't it? I never would have thought in my wildest dreams that I would have well over a year cigarette free under my belt. 30+ years a smoker in bondage to those nasty things and still in awe over finally being free of them.

Crazy didn't realized blues like not out there. I just checked every listing on eBay and you are right, not a single blue. I got a gold one not because it was my first color choice but because hit on a new listing for $60 shipped to my door and couldn't pass it up. Haven't seen another offered below $74.50 since I scored mine June 23rd.

Congrats, Mike McVape! I am two days ahead of you (17 days now I think...) and it was unbelievable how easy it was, this time. Since it was so hard for me to switch (I tried vape products from almost the beginning, when they were not so easy to operate) but it's amazing to me the proliforation of vape equipment and juices, over time. It really is such a growing market, and I remember my first day smoke free going, "What? Huh? What just happened?" Congrats on your achievement, passing it on, and new gear

What I liked about the GX2/4 is it's 2 or 4 battery capability. Using it like an Alien in 2 battery mode but can kick it up with 4 batts and it be like a 350. Smaller for usual daily use yet still capable of walkin with the big dogs.

It sounds like a good form factor but I find smoks latest mods are a bit flimsy an plasticy. My tesla nano steampunk is just a chunk of metal hahaha. I like solid mods that will last and I've not had much joy with smok.
I've had my dripbox 160 for a year an there's little paint peeling at all, I noticed smok mods start flaking within a couple of months an they have terrible customer service. I'm still waiting to hear back from them from when my first alien crapped out! The screen is just black an before that it was ohm jumping so I don't tend to go for smok mods now.
Saying that I hated kanger products til they brought out the Dripbox range.

Happy to read posts like yours and am sure it will inspire others that it is possible to quit with vaping! 3mg is probably good for the v8 (Baby beast?), as it can deliver a lot of vapor. I use 3mg on my rdas (drippers) and 6mg for the out and about tanks that do not produce as much vapor. It's all about what atomizer I am using which determines my mg of nicotine. I started with those cigalikes (blu) and it didnt cut it for me so I went to the vape shop and from then on, after buying a proper device to satisfy my cravings, could I truly quit the smokes.

I will bare this in mind, I want a quad battery mod & this and the gx350 look much more comfortable to hold.
The rx is too bulky for my small hands!

Today is day four with the GX2/4 and really lovin it. Not just being able to vary wattage but also soft-normal-hard for how fast the coil heats can make a huge difference.

While have a Stick V8 for backup wouldn't want to have to go back to it. So ordered another GX2/4 kit, this one in blue, for $54.07 shipped. Not a US vendor but don't need it fast so went for the lowest price possible.

The TFV12 Cloud Beast King atty I ordered to play with arrived yesterday. OMG I ain't ready for that sucker yet if ever! I'll stick with Big Baby Beast and the T8 0.15 ohm coils for now.

The one hit is same as I've read on a few review: the battery latch can be a bit finicky. Oh and agree the finish seems like it will be much more durable than anodized like the Alien.
