An idea, but not the best application
2.3 ohm.. but why so much? :thumb:

This is my humble project to roll the wire and the mesh together. Here in the picture at least 2/3 of the wire is inside of the mesh. So it heats with two sides. I am trying to make this > %90.

(To prevent short-circ. the mesh must be oxidized very well)

Anyone who tried this kind of coil.

With normal coil you see the kanthal getting red... if we see a side of the wire getting red then this side is useless, because this side doesnt touch the mesh. It heats only with other side. At least there is a lost.
But here two sides of the kanthal touchs and heats the mesh.
Hmmm...I can't think of any advantage to it.

May be you are right. Just trying, playing... I will try different wraps today and test it.
I am thinking on airflow, it could be a disadvantage, but I assume that I can vape the same ohm with higher wattage w/o having burn taste. Of course, if it could produce more vapor with higher wattage.

Forget about it, it will not work to any advantage. The coil needs air to vaporise the juice, now you will just cook the juice on the inside of the wick.
