Just a question. Has anyone made a good root beer recipe they would like to share? I know sassafras is the main flavor in root beer. I guess what I'm asking is if anyone has made a juice from the the individual flavors (i.e. sassafras, vanilla, etc...)? I have Lorann's Root Beer flavor but it is not as easy to work with getting a good tasting root beer flavored e juice.

Just a FYI. You're posting in the wrong forum:

"e-liquid Recipes
One mixture per thread please. If it is not a recipe, IT DOES NOT BELONG HERE."

I've notified a moderator so that this thread can be moved (and you may get answers to your question).

Here's where you need to be posting: DIY E-Liquid

In general, Lorann is not the best flavorings to work with. Though Rootbeer does not contain oil, so that is good. Here is a link to a table on Lorann: Best Lorann Oils Vaping Spreadsheet - 2014

You will most likely need to add another flavoring to it to get something you like to vape. That goes for all flavorings (not just Lorann).

A google search: Vape DIY Loranne Rootbeer

@djbishybish posted this recipe (using TFA & FW flavorings): Made an awesome root beer float

I am a Rootbeer fanatic and the only real good RootBeer favoring I have found is from Flavor Concentrates. But it is expensive. With there's you even get the bubbliness like Rootbeer. Problem with some Rootbeers you buy from companies are tank crackers (Plastic Tanks) and I feel if it cracks a plastic tank and a company won't tell you why, then I don't want to vape it. But that is just me. CHEERS!

Good thing I use glass tanks...I mixed up the lorann root beer, but can't seem to find one that tastes good that doesn't look like used motor oil...I mean I don't mind food coloring but it is way dark....that is why I'm asking about essential oils....I would dilute them to 10% maybe and then a percentage of that...sassafras, anise, and vanilla are all extracts...essentially essential "oils"...I was just wondering if anyone has worked with them.

Don't vape anything that has "oil" of any kind in it. Try One Stop DIY Shop's Olde Tyme Rootbeer. It's $5 for 1oz and they don't sell anything smaller, but it's pretty good. Mix it up at 10 - 15% and let it steep for 2 or 3 days. It's pretty clear and tastes like homemade rootbeer my grandfather used to make. Over 15% in your mix and the anise gets to be overpowering.

Do you add anything else to the one you mentioned or is it a standalone at 10 to 15%? I appreciate the responses to my questions. By "oil", I mean that is what all flavorings used to be called. Just like cola flavorings are called syrups. I know many don't use Lorann Oils, but there are very few that are actual oils, like orange and lemon, but those have been in aromatherapy mixes for who knows how long.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
Rootbeer is a tough one for sure , the highest rated rootbeer flavoring you can buy is from Tasty Puff called "Rasta Rootbeer" , it's exceptional classic rootbeer flavoring .

Blows away Capella's , TFA's LorAnns etc....

I have Capella's rootbeer flavoring and have sassafras flavoring as well , i will add some Sassafras , Wintergreen and Vanilla Classic but if you want a great out of the bottle rootbeer go with "Rasta Rootbeer".

Thanks...I'll have to try the sassafras, wintergreen and vanilla....any certain percentages? Appreciate it.
