Great idea...it only happened to me once...but now I know what to do if it happens again...I also like the idea of sanding the positive post...mine is a little sharp and is scraping the connection of my PVs...

What I did was shorten the bottom of positive post insulator .025" then installed a 2.5 x 1 mm oring under it. Hasn't leaked a drop since.

I forget, looks like I started out with a 100 pack so I probably got them from Mcmaster. I've never seen metric orings in local hardware stores so they most likely have to be ordered online. Orings USA is another supplier I get orings from. If you can't find them hit me up.

Nice fix but I didn't have any o rings. So I went through my extra parts and I found a silicone piece from the aga t2 that is the same as the hard piece you are putting the o ring under in your pic. My aga broke so wth right? Slipped that little bad boy on there and voila! No leak.
