Anyone know why my rsst is leaking here? Or has anyone else ever had this happen? It's coming from between the bottom of the tank portion and the bottom metal piece. This was after a day of sitting there.

Mine did this when I first got it. Hold it up to the light and look between where the tank and the bottom deck and the tank and the top deck seal. On mine there was a small gap. When I adjusted and tightened it up, no more external leaks. It can also leak down the center post into the connector. You can fix this by adding Teflon/ plumbers tape to the center post by the seal for the top deck. Or add an aga-t insulator, kidney puncher sells them in packs of 10.

Is the common leaking you're talking about from the 510 pin connection?

And where mine is leaking from is indicative of being cracked?

the center tube section of the RSST tank is not sealed,,if you lean\lay it down the juice will run down the center pin

don't use teflon tape,,use a insulator from carto, protank head or something similar,,slide it into the center tube before assembly

Not sure why, how or where but whenever I have taken mine apart there's juice on the outside of the center tube and on top of the bottom deck. I understand how juice gets down the inside of the center tube, the seal piece that comes with the RSST doesn't seal but the other, well that remains a mystery to me. I suspect that's where yours is originating as well, getting down between the tank and tube then once the bottom deck where the tank sits gets enough it leaks out between the tank and base.

Not a clue, another of those mysteries but I'm going to keep watching here and trying the suggestions.

that is very common with the RSST stlyes that have the plastic fogged tank...the newer style should not have that problem?? IDK

By newer style do you mean pyrex? I just bought this tank a week or two ago. I think the fogged are polypropylene, and found out a few days after I ordered mine that they are coming out with pyrex.
