Rsst on evic

Hey guys just got my first rba. I got it set up and everything but it gets quite hot at the atomizer and the evic is that normal or I did something wrong. I'm running 6/5 at 2ohms with ss wire rope. Anyone insight will be appreciated thanks

Yes, the atomizer area will get hot. I have an AGA-t which is similar and this gets warm also. It should not get uncomfortably hot.

How much power are you trying to use?
Did you get a good even glow on the coil before trying to use?
RSST cap off, are you getting light Vapor, Decent Vapor or insane Vapor?
RSST Cap on, is the draw/Vapor decent of seem smothered?

I'm running 1.3 RSST on evic and the heat displacement of the atty makes the entire device hot but it's working perfectly -

just Dont take 4 10 second vapes on it - just go normal on it - Dont go H.A.M. But use as normal and monitor the heat and you'll be fine

I've got it working pretty well right now. I bored it out to 3/64th in and pulls nicer. It does take a while for the coils to warm up tho much more than a silica set up I have in my drippers. Is that normal too? I normally run at 8watts sometimes drop it to 7.3 or 6.6 right now it is at 2ohms

I normally Vape around 7 watts. With the RSST I have to push it to 9 watts to get the coil powered up decent.

Yes, the ohms is decent, but the Mesh wick is like a heat sink sucking away available power. Something Silica does not do.

alright i think i got it figured out. i did 1 less wrap for 1.7-1.8 ohms and have moved the wick a bit closer to the pos post. man this is a beauty. im thinking of making a thin spring like piece of metal to put on the inside of the top cap and kinda make an adjustable air flow as well. thanks everyone for the help
