I don't know if this has been answered but I feel I'm getting more flavor from my igo-w compared to my genesis tank
They both are using 30g micro coils and cotton same brand of e liquid and I taste so much more on one than the other I feel the rsst is muting my flavor
The igo w is dual micro coil with the wick going thru the inside of the coil
The rsst has a micro coil but a bed of cotton
Is this suppose to happen

Yes it is.
My understanding is the smaller the vapor chamber the greater the flavor.
I am willing to bet the RSST chamber is lkarger than the IGO chamber.

As for the builds you have going. The IGO (with the dual coils) has larger surface area of the wick material being vaporized. The RSST only has the small surface area at the bottom of the coil.

The majority of your flavor woes most likely stem from the larger chamber of the rsst.
But, with your coil that close to the deck, you probably can't get the airhole directly over the coil.
Try to get that coil as close to being inline with the airhole as possible. Which will most likely mean raising the coil a hair.
It will probably give you a better vape.

Even with the rsst optimized, it probably won't match the flavor of the Igo beacuse of the chamber.

If you want some great flavor with a dripper, try out an immortalizer. Very small chamber, but kind of finicky to build.

If you want an amazimg vape with a tank, get your hands on a russian or kayfun.
Amazing!

One thing you'll find in common between the attys I mentioned, they all have a reduced air chamber.

If I wrap cotton around the coil would it improve the taste I'm getting the nic and throat hit just not the taste

I like the 91%.
Or the kayfun lite or lite plus.
All great attys.
Many clones to be had for cheap if you just wanna try one out.
20 to 30 bux direct from china sources like fast tech, or 40 to 50 bux on ebay.
Real ones can be hard to come by.
I found my russian 91% for 90 bux and had a 15% code to use as well.
Got it for under 90 shipped.

there is no way that coil is in the correct position for the airflow to blow on it. when built right the TH should drop and the vapor and flavor will increase. the rsst will never match up to a dripper without the reducer but that coil is not helping either.

if your cloning it then find a kraken if you want to try a better genesis, the FT one rocks for flavor.

the KF is always a good choice as well

I think what hasn't been pointed out is you are using 2 completely different setups in 2 completely different atomizers, so it is only common sense the flavor profile would be different... Yes, the chamber reducer does make the RSST all that much better, but I can't see how you or anyone would expect those setups to even be in the same category of flavor...or even vapor!!!
