rsst quick question

mine leak down the center post and i want to fix it, once and for all. i've heard that the center post seal for the AGA-T can replace the crappier seal of the RSST and it will fix the issue. is this correct?

Also...where can i buy that seal (or spare parts kit for AGA)?

Yes, an AGA-T top seal will fix the problem. If you don't have one, a few wraps of plumbers' teflon tape will also work. The problem with the RSST seal is that it doesn't hug the center post tight enough.
As for where to get them? I don't know. Some suppliers may have them for sale. Any time I've purchased AGA-Ts, they came with extra seals.

i saw a post where someone took an insulator grommet for a protank/evod and slipped it on to the center post and it stopped the leak.

I used plumbers tape on mine and haven't had a leak since. Just wrap the center post as much as you can with the tape so there is a snug fit with the tank.

bump. i broke down the AGA i had laying around and swapped out the center pin seals. so far this has fixed the leaking issue (day 2 lol). i have new seals on order now. thanks for the help everyone!

on a side note: this is the concern i have with the RSST. it's, for me, right on the edge of being a perfect genny. easy to build, insolated wick hole, plastic bottom so you dont have to worry about the wick shorting, spring loaded center post....

....but then there's things that just bug the HELL outta me. the leaking. the lack of replacement parts. the lack of a glass tank. the lack of finish options. the lack of a screw for fill hole.

it's like....if the AGA and RSST had a baby, you'd have the perfect genny. lol

i tapped the fill hole with a tap and die set on my rsst and put a screw in. best thing i could have done. and swapped my grommet from a protank. just need to find a tank replacement and it would be the perfect rba
