RTA Coil

Hey there,

What should I use to get a good crackling and flavour on my single Coil Pharaoh Mini? Tried it, and had a really good flavour, but now that I have one it isnt that good anymore...

Using some big coil (Shark I think) and 90VG/10PG Base (selfmade, no premium).
Is this because of the Coil? Cause he used the same base as me. So it should be the same!?

This is a bit hazy to me... Are you saying you used a coil someone else made, and now replaced it with one of your own? Because coil differences will absolutely make a difference in flavor. Do you still have the coil? Or can you talk to the person who made it (if that is the case)? You'd need to find out what the coil was made of, and what diameter it was, the gauge of wire, how many wraps, resistance and etc.

Do you know about steam-engine.org and are you using it? Is this your first attempt? If so, I think that asking some questions in the rta and coilbuilding subforum specifically would help you out, and you'd learn a lot about different types of wire and coilbuilding. You'll probably have to do some experiments to find a build that suits you and your tank. Write everything down as you go so you can replicate it.

But I have used the same RTA of someone else (so someone else owned it before me).

And it was way better than mine.

Well, next time clean your equipment and don't use someone else's coil. (JMO). Also, if there's a battery in there, time to recycle. You don't know how old it is....
